Anyone claiming with pride, as some have done here, that they don't even know what their churches do with their money (alluding to some kind of fake modesty in hiding their charity) is clearly ignorant of things being done with their money. In many civilized nations, the flock demand financial returns at the end of each year to know what was generated in funds and how it was spent.

The very fact you think this is somehow out of place while making asinine digs about "auditor by God" only shows up your naivety and the gullibility of the average Nigerian Christian - especially Pentecostals. "Touch not our anointed". And you wonder why you're called sheeple. grin
Oga your comments are riddled with lies...
Can you beat your chest to validity of your claims that ALL MEMBERS of a Church in the 'Civilised' West know about her financial returns and expenditure?
If yes, can you name Just one of those churches?
If you can, kindly provide the link of that church that made her financial returns and expenditure open for public scrutiny for us to verify...
OR shove those made up claims down your throat if you can't do all of these...

God bless you...

They should go and see how much Bill gate and co that are not religious and actually worked for their wealth, commit to charity...

Unlike our religious leaders who are simply tithes and offerings collectors...

And where do you get the viral false narrative that Bill Gate, Mark Zuckerberg and co are Irreligious?
Kindly provide the links to affirm your claim that they are Irreligious or quit these false lines...

Synagogue is good in publicity. Many Churches are doing it but they won't use 10million Naira airtime on TV to announce 5million Naira gift.My Church in Ikeja paved a whole street in the community where it resides and nobody hears. My Pastor has a foundation that sends all less privilege in the Church to University. The only requirement is a valid admission. He never do a single radio advert or post pictures online.

I'm not saying all these to justify Tithes. Just know that some Churches got good publicity stunts and they know Nigerians love that. Same thing our politicians do. They build a 20 million Naira facility and use 10 million Naira for grand opening.

wer dis church de I go like run masters no money oooo.....wetin be d name and wer e de again

start a foundation and give to the poor directly.dont let a pastor do that for you.their is more than enough food in the house of the lord already plus offerings are still coming in.nigerian pastors make the whole tithe thing look like scam and everything many of this churches have given out from the beginning is not upto the cost of a private jet.the bible wants us to give to the church and the poor and you pay to the church weekly or monthly and you will never give to the poor.is their logic in that.how many times have you read about Bill giving to a church ??he has a foundation instead.now, tell me God isnt blessing him.
btw i never said he hasnt given to a church bebefore.i cant be sure

The Church of England publishes its financial returns annually, as do most of its Dioceses:
https://www.ft.com/content/c40d3c6c-3b16-11e7-821a-6027b8a20f23
The central governing body have a portal that demands every diocese to publish its returns:
https://parishreturns.churchofengland.org/index.php/component/content/featured

https://www.oxford.anglican.org/support-services/parish-support/mission-statistics/
https://www.cofeguildford.org.uk/about/explore/returns
https://www.hereford.anglican.org/Annualreturns/
http://www.lincoln.anglican.org/resources-parishes-ministry/downloadable-forms/annual-returns/

So do most Catholic dioceses too in the UK, Ireland, Western Europe. Even in the US where religious bodies have much less scrutiny than in Europe, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops publish annual financial returns through auditors KPMG.
http://www.usccb.org/about/financial-reporting/upload/financial-statements-2013-2014.pdf

I can't be bothered to keep doing research fro your lousy, gullible ass, so perhaps, make your own effort to do some research and remove your head lodged deep in the anus of your pastors. It is a perfectly proper, transparent, accountable thing to do to demand the governing hierarchy of your church publish their financial figures for all members to see. No church should be run like a family business.
