Remember one time i was walking my friend's sister home after Wednesday night church service - it wasn't like i was wooing her at the time, per se, but it was fairly evident to most that we were attracted to each other cuz we communicated & hung-out together whenever we were chanced.
I was cool with everybody in their house; her mumsy even knew we were getting along well - her brother (my pal) & her 3 sisters had all but embraced me as their sister's guy; her dad - also knew me well enuff. But she always insisted that i steered clear of her dad & most times, whenever he was near, we would try not to get too close to each other.

On this faithful night, after church, i had the "all clear" to walk her home. . . . . we got to their gate & just chilled there gisting away; mumsy and other sisters came, saw, greeted & went away without incident.
Omo. . .  when her papa show; see raking - i no know sey d man don dey carry am 4 mind 'tey - from like 5 metres to the gate, the man don dey halla, "this is the first and last warning i will give u; i don't want to see u near my daughter again!" If you are familiar with Surulere (Aguda in particular) & u know how busy Brown Road is at evening times, then u can imagine how many people witnessed this. E jus be like make ground open swallow me becuz no hiding place - people jus dey look; d babe sef jus discharge leave me there. . . .  i jus dey smile conny-man smile, dey beg d baba, wetin man fit do!!?

funny thread,mine was actually in my favour,if d ladies will allow me to say so.there was this faithful nite about 8yrs ago,this pretty lady just left a male friend which i was sure is not her bf,from the way they were communicating,so i summon courasge 2 meet her.i followed and chatted her up like a gentle guy.but she just turn deaf to all i was saying, some mins later d sandal she had on jst cut.i couldnt help it but burst into a loud laughter.if i could remember clearly i tink she also smiled to herself.

Very funny and real! Don't kno y some naija girls just luv embarrasing guys that come their way, or y i used to have panic attacks anytime i wan toast babes those days. This thread's bringing a flood of memories; i've quite a few embarrasing ones, let me share some-:
- Looooong time ago, in pry 4/5 i think, had an almost embarasing exp. There was dis pretty and brilliant girl in my class, margret, used to fantasize bout her alot, we sat beside each other in class. i wld escort her home (pass my str), then trek back to my house. One day i summoned courage to write her a luv letter, prob was i cldn't spell more than 2-3 letter words, cld'nt even spell love! Anyhow, i composed & panel-beat a letter by lifting d most appropriate words & phrases from a reader i'd crammed, to fill in 4 words i cldn't spell.
  Finally i slipped d letter to her in class, she immediately tucked it in her box. Then i started thinking, she's so brilliant my teacher used to confirm d spelling of some words from her, i magined her laffing her backside off while reading my grammatical blunders! few mins later i asked 4 d letter back but she refused, i persisted but she wln't bulge. I grabbed her box in an attempt to retrieve my disaster of a letter and a struggle ensued (we were sitting in front). It caught d attention of d teacher and she asked her to bring d letter, i almost passed out. Luckily 4 me d teacher read it and just smiled (probably cos she 's a friend to my mum).
  Also, some few yrs ago, while waiting 4 a bus @ d bstop, there was this clean chic standing beside me and i tot it wldn't do any harm to chat her up. I started flowing- hi, hw'r u doing? bla-bla, she didn't say a word 4 some secs, all of a sudden she yelled 'WHAT IS IT, PLS LEAVE ME ALONE!' And all eyes turned in our directn. Omo trust me i give am back, i also raised my voice 'ARE U OK? Y ARE U SHOUTING LIKE A BUSH GIRL,  went on lashing her 4 a few more secs then bone. All d while she never said a word, just stared sheepishly.

I had one of my worst experiences when I was in SS2 in of the F.G.C's. Then power was just handed over to us, I was made a Prefect after SS3 had finished their WAEC. I had this crush on an SS1 girl, so I decided to exercise my new authority by trying to use it to cover my shyness and ineptitude to girls.(the first time I chyked a gal). I took several weeks to prepare my lines, wrote them down carefully in a piece of paper and memorized it too. I chose a day at the start of afternoon prep. I went early to a class close to hers, sat at a corner which I could view her when she was coming to prep. Then she was coming from a distance with about four of her friends, I immediately sent a junior student to call her. My thinking was that she wd come alone. ALAS! the 5 of them started approaching me and my rhymes did not accommodate this situation so I lost my nerves entirely. To save any further embarrassment, I bolted out of the class into the next door, the t0ilet! (Trust Boarding house t0ilets that haven't been washed for days)). I stayed in the awful place for minutes, heard her and her friends bursting into uncontrollable laughter while I was holding my breadth and praying God they left before I collapsed. After that event, I ended up dodging any of them till I the end of my stay in that school, I even stopped going to the dinning hall for weeks because they laughed anywhere I was seen. I never tried chyking any girl again, a phobia developed.

We werent sitting close to each other so there was no way i could strike up a conversation from where i was. When d conductor was gonna collect money, i paid my fare & hers (to create a platform for conversation when d bus stops). I asked d conductor to codedly return her money. When d conductor did, she was like 'what for?'. The conductor codedly told her i paid. She turned & said thanks but she wasnt gonna accept it. Mehn d conductor provoke o. The conductor begin hala, "how person go pay for u & u say no? Inshort u must take your money back". The girl insisted she wasnt gon take it back. Everybody inside the bus come join mouth for d matter; they were like, "na by force to pay for person"? I hade to take back my money. The conductor kept murmuring about the incident till we got to our stop. I tried introducing myself but she paid me no mind & went her way. Me too find my bearing.
