Irrate Hausa-fulani youths and indigenes of the state capital have created a tense atmosphere in town with cars destroyed and businesses reportedly burnt. Two doctors of FMC Makurdi who parked outside the hospital premises have had their cars severally vandalised with one burnt.

There are allegations that lives may have been lost in the ongoing fracas.

People are advised to avoid areas around Wurukum and Wadata for now.
