Thanks youngies and cutie! It's actually refreshing to be able to swap and read truly informing and educative proverbs with you.Anyways my little confession is that i'm not Igbo though i have chased and lusted after many a Ada,Nkechi,Chinwe who all have painstakingly taught me a little Igbo here and there.Anyways i hope this little burden that has finally come off my chest would not lead to my sanction on this thread! However for you youngies oke aha a na-etu dibia na akari ihe o na-agbata na afa -the ostentatious praise names with which the native doctor is eulogized are greater than the compensation he receives from his divination And cutie~ onye bu ehi n’isi anaghi eji ukwu achu ukpara -a person carrying an elephant on his head does not pursue grasshoppers with his feet. |
