No wonder they are so vicious at check points Constables are the least you see in the station or outside. Recruits are those in training. Police training was directed from headquarters by a deputy inspector general designated as commander. Recruits were trained at Police colleges in Oji River, Maiduguri, Kaduna, and Ikeja, which also offered training to other security personnel, such as armed immigration officers. The Police College at Ikeja trained cadet assistant superintendents and cadet subinspectors. Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigeria_Police_Force 1 Like |

This is useless post to pity police and support them for there extortion. The police recruits have not started working and the constable is equivalent to school certificate holder in federal civil service. The op should find out how much ssce holder earn in federal civil service, infact some are not earn up to 43k going by 18k minimum wage. The op should also go to state level and see what they earn as salary even ssce will hardly earn 20k. Why their ssce counterpart in civil service pay for all service the police will enter bus and claim staff. There is no excuse for their extortion and that's the salary grade for paramilitary including civil defence. No excuse for corruption in police. Some graduates are not even collect up to 40k as salary while ssce holder constable collect 43k plus extortion. 5 Likes |

which civil servants does his or her salary start with #9,000? 9k is not salary but compensation or stipend pay to police in training camp that has not start working, immediately they graduate they become constable and start earning 43k. Why always police? They are under ministry of interior and get their salary grade anybody that's not satisfy it's not compulsory to join police. Shikena. 6 Likes |

God bless Nigeria, this is extremely poor for police force, if you give someone gun, and you start treating him like slave, the gun will tell him what to do... Nigeria Police Force cannot do better than what we have now. Some people sit somewhere make the law, and earn 36m and 48m monthly, and some people are to implement the law are not even pay up to 1% of those making the law annually. |
