My 2-year old N82 runs out of juice in one day instead of upto five days when it was new. I bought a new battery for N3,500 from a supposedly genuine Nokia dealer but the new battery is even worse. It lasts less than six hours. The dealer alleged my phone is draining the battery and refused to refund my money.

I bought another one that had the genuine hologram from another dealer for N4,000. This one lasts only two days before it must be recharged. My question is this: Can a phone that behaves perfectly ok start consuming more power all of a sudden. If so, what can I do about it short of throwing it away and buying a new one.
