You are right. From my personal experience, most high end companies here process your visa, book appointment in the Embassy in Nigeria from Dubai and you only walk in to the Embassy to get your passport stamped no hassle. They will book flight for you and even send Maraba to airport to welcome you. I experienced it my first time in Dubai. Notwithstanding, there are companies paying young Nigerians here more than 23k monthly. We should encourage the high end earner that decided to bring himself out . We need each other to grow here. He may share nice info that will help one or two person. But all the same, look before you leap. This thread is my favourite in Nairaland...you guys are the best

Well, some of these companies dont mind leaving you to face the visa hassle vis-a-vis Abuja wahala. They tend to reimburse you, and take care of the rest such as flight booking, maraba stuff, get you an apartment (within DIFC or the suburbs where you'd be waking up to Burj Khalifa sights) for the first few weeks/months, pay you close to 10k USD sign on bonus, and pay you over 7k USd monthly.

I have a couple of friends earning over 30k dirhams monthly in Dubai, these are guys that are less than 30 years old and are in fields like finance and banking, engineering, IT etc. Interestingly, they don't mind moving to North America or Europe, given any slight opportunity, because those countries appreciate their skills more.

Anyway, it's still hustling things, just that level pass level sha. I see that a lot in here are quite comfortable with less that 10k salaries in Dubai, sharing spaces etc. My advice is for each person to go beyond his/her comfort zone, strive to make it big, develop yourself, read, study, nobody is too old to read, identify trending fields, develop yourself, so you can excel in any country you find yourself. I know we are from 'a not so useful' country, but let's try and be the best anywhere we find ourselves.

All the best to everyone!

Easiest way bro, get ur visa ursef and find ur way to UAE.

Like it or not, out of 100 Nigerians only 10 gets that opportunity from employers, reason being that, they consider other countries before looking at Nigerians. It is important to also mention that out of that 10 Nigerians 8 of them considered by employers must have had their professional certificates from DEVELOPED Countries. Before any employer from UAE would sponsor they must have seen somtin in ur CV that is not easily/commonly seen in the foreign expatriates.

So, my advise to u, while applying from Nigeria, start making ur plans to head to UAE.

Good day friends. Please I wish to ask for direction before my cousin makes a mistake or get scammed. Attached are the documents my cousin agent sent to him from Dubai. He instructed that he takes the two documents to Dubai Embassy for his medical before his Visa will be approved. Please, is he on the right track? He supposed to travel to Abuja tomorrow against Monday for him to do as instructed by his agent. I need a professional advice on what he should do. Thanks guys.

Their is a number on one of the documents and he said with that number, the embassy will key it in their system and all his details will show up. What documents does he required to go with in the embassy?

He's on d right track. That's employment Visa process. Once he show d first document to them at d embassy, he will be directed to go for medical, attest d medical report then proceed to biometric that is if he's company over here has done d necessary with MOI in UAE. Though he's still gonna pay for biometric in naija. Good luck

Hello house,I applied for a job through online job board, the company is a multinational company and even though I didn't have UAE experience I was called for an interview, two weeks later they sent me offer letter that I should accept it online on their career page after about two weeks again I was ask to fill an onboarding form and upload my documents, everything was done online right from when I applied for the job.My concern was that is going to two month now and my Visa will soon expire,I called the HR that did the second interview for me on phone and he said I should not worry about my Visa expiring that even if I go back to Nigeria they will bring me back.I don't really know if they will do that
pls do you mind dropping the website so I can apply as well?
