Then, you'll have to tighten your belt because you need to show your parents that you are indeed remorseful. You need to get a job alongside your studies.

There are shops looking for sales boy and girls, I'm sure. You need to start earning to at least contribute to the upkeep of the child and his mother. Don't expect your folks to do that and keep sponsoring you in school. That'd be crazily crazy.

No it isn't. Take care of your own kid yourself. Don't pass off the buck to some household where she may be sexually molested by anybody in that household.

If in future God blesses you with wealth you'll now start looking for the child up and down to create a relationship that isn't there, right?

This is Africa. There's always family that can help you bear part of the burden. Don't give away your child.

I don't think it happens this way. This is not the US. In my country adopting parents are not even allowed to chose the kids they want.

And ... the baby belongs to the person who carries it for 9 months and pushed it through hard labour. You two are not married and even if you were, it's not your decision. For good reason - like this thread of yours.

In this case, her parents have more say over you as far as the future of the baby is concerned. Thank God.

I don't know why you college is an excuse. The kid does not start school for at least four years to come. You will be done with college. And kids eat very little food.
