Don't blame me, this is one of the reasons I went with high hopes to see that city that's better developed than Lagos, PH, Ibadan, Kano, Kaduna, et al according to this poster.

Comparing them to other cities in the world is pure sentiments at work. Compare them to other cities in West Africa. It's quite disappointing for anyone to say Enugu is more developed than PH and Ibadan, that's where this is all coming from. had to seize an opportunity to go see the city that beats Ibadan and PH in terms of development and oooops! from what I saw, it beats Lagos and Abuja too
no there is no point comparing mediocrity to mediocrity. Let's compare the cities we celebrate to the real standard obtainable elsewhere in the world.
Even if you compare them to cities in Africa, we are still no where near to them eg Johannesburg. The fact that south African cities have infrastructure not obtainable in Nigeria is the more reason why we should all hide our head in shame and stop arguing nonsense.

God forbid for Igbos to carry empty Afonjas for head. For what? Ginikwa?
Of what gain? If you have sense you will know that one of the reasons we want to leave this country is never to see you Afonjas again for life.
Keep lamenting. I will soon tagg you when your brothers open thread about Ibadan or osogbo. We are even praying and wishing you leave. At least, you were given altimatum but you instead run to ICC. We don't even want to have anything to do with people that likes human meats as delicacy.

Well, Well, Well, Enugu has been one place I've been wanting to visit for so long after the hype occasioned by sheer bigotry and sentiments by the Igbos. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement, I was raged filled at how people could celebrate mediocrity this far in the 21st century. Enugu was just an average city filled with annoying red earth and dusts all over. What's so special? nothing. Independence layout, new haven, trans ekulu, G.r.a, ziks avenue, okpara avenue, ogui road, emene, presidential road, all this places just seemed like what it's like in owerri, which I think the area around concord beats this places by far. Gosh, I couldn't wait to return back to Lagos. Almost every taxi is for hire, buses everywhere including 18th century lorries. Omo the only thing I enjoyed about the town is their shoprite, everything else was just annoying. how can a whole tribe be wrong? anybody that ever says Enugu is more developed than Ibadan or Port Harcourt is hereby declared a fool. Damn it!.
I reckon u are d bigger fool, for not posting pictures as evidence.

Your lying legend visited a place and he claims it was no good and he had no pictures to even show the bad side of the place, you are here supporting the OP.

How do you people sleep well at night, with this feeling?

but why are you guys capitalizing on pictures? do you need pictures to show that there was no cinema to chill with popcorn? do you need pictures to show that there was no bridge or interchange to make someone feel like he's in a city? what if my camera was bad, what if I have reservations about taking shots in public? if you bring up the issues of pictures I'll just assume you're a sinking man and holding onto something for survival. it's that simple.

much as I hate bigotry I'll like to chip in a few words.
as a growing child and into my adolescent age, I hear how most igbos tell us how beautiful and prosperous their part of Nigeria is...fast forward into my adult age and being a very adventurous person I was posted to serve in Ebonyi. I took the opportunity to tour the whole Igbo land and honestly it's not as they had made us believe!!
here on naira land I read with sadness the attacks from the igbos whenever something bad happens elsewhere and I notice their silence whenever something bad happens on their side of the divide! mostly they defend themselves by saying "something must kill someone"
well that's the world for you...
we should learn to accept everyone's weaknesses and strengths as we must interrelate as long as we live on earth.
that's my take!

You don't know what you are saying.

I have this pic of ibadan. It is no good and you need to do something about it. That's how to do it. I can't tell you that even parts of Lagos is bad without pictures, like the second pic, so changes can be made.

Continue decieving your self..

You are just mischiveous.

Because when an Igbo on this forum went to Ibadan and came online to talk about how poverty ridden and backwards it is; he showed pictures of areas he was located at, areas he visited and areas where he had to work to support his claim. When another, I believe Chino, went to oshogbo or whatever and he came online to tell us how backwards it is, he also brought pictures to support him.

You claim you went to Enugu yet the task to give us pictures to back your claim, na excuses we dey get. All we got from you na word. Nwoke shut your mouth. You googled Enugu, stalked the Enugu thread to get as many names as you can and then carry your Oblong head to wail about "visiting Enugu". Story teller.

Anyone that isn't Yoruba and have visited Ibadan would tell you Ibadan is one of the worst and backwards City in Africa. Instead of una to do something about it, you lots stays decieving yourselves.

What has gladdened my heart is that in spite of spirited effort by some people in Nigeria to destroy Igboland and keep it in the stone age, the reverse happened.

Let them Kwantinue in heartache for their wicked souls and visit phantom places in their dreams. It changes nothing

Enugu is more compact in comparison to Ibadan because they mostly build multiple storeybuildings unlike Ibadan that is full of bungalows. That's why Ibadan had a bigger urban sprawl.

Keep posting Ibadan pics when your people were still covering their blockoss with their bare hands This is Ibadan and it is more developed than your 5 states joined together.
