A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sule Lamido, has revealed how Saraki, Atiku, Kwankwaso and himself helped President Muhammadu Buhari win the 2015 presidential election. Lamido pointed out that though he was popular, top shots of the former ruling party who joined the All Progressives Congress, APC, helped Buhari become president after three attempts. He also added that the prominent PDP defectors used their influence and resources to ensure that another party took over reins of power since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999. Lamido made this known on the BBC Hausa Service in Kano, Lamido listed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kano Governor, Rabi’u Kwankwaso and Senate President Bukola Saraki as those that gave APC victory. The politician also said Buhari declared intention to re-contest after the massive crowd that attended the PDP’s rally in his home state, Katsina.
