I don't think it'll happen if the state maintain it well

Likewise the same thing was said during the Obalende commissioning ....

Do you remember the first match played at Abuja National Stadium?

The spectators caused N5million of damage in just a few hours!

Fixing it is part of what they paid for, I'm not exonerating the fan, but the management has a lot of role to play.

The Lagos state environmental authority should provide waste bins and place them at strategic places, then there should be strict compliance to waste disposal.

Some animals don’t see anything wrong in eating and drinking and littering everywhere with food wraps and empty drink containers.

Strict compliance should be enforced.

There is bound to be wear and tears, which is the government responsibility to fix. Why blame ordinary Nigerian who pay to use the service.

Why not blame ordinary Nigerians? We should equally blame both the government and its citizens. Take a look at this bus terminal for example, the government did it's part by providing a standard bus station with trash cans provided for proper waste disposal, yet the average Nigerian will trashed everywhere with their pure water sachet and gala rappers, and still will blame Ambode/government whenever the place is dirty.

What's dirty here now, just little papers on the ground those people there can volunteer to pick and dump in the refuge undecided

The time it took the writer to the pictures and write his article, would be enough to sweep the place. but they would rather point fingers...

the facility still functions as intended... what we see here is the institutionalized lack of ownership by the users,.. poor collective and personal hygiene... otherwise what on earth stops individuals from disposing of their litter in the BINS PROVIDED (seen in the pic) ....That "Nigerian factor"

I dont agree, with that, there should be a person employed to pick up all that rubish, at least 4 times a day, the oe person cant travel in the bust terminal to terminal for the day.or mandate of the staff to do the clean up,
Look at the streets in the west, all have Bins but still pay street cleaners.

It's easier to destroy than to create. Nigeria polithiefcians are more concerned about the creation of this projects to Greese there own palm, maintenance is non of their business.
And the masses also have this "I don't care attitude" towards government property, this lack of ownership mindset.

When was the last time you maintained your house, old school, office/shop etc by repainting, refurbishing, updating etc?
If you don’t, why should you expect that the government people who represent you should maintain public property
Ayam not understanding please!

that's the problem with Nigerians..no maintenance culture and lack of discipline...

police men should be stationed there to flog anyone who litters the floor

I can see a waste basket there, I think it's the mentality of the people using the using the bus terminal that's the problem.

Its not all about the state. Every individual has a responsibility to take care of it. Little things such as not dropping refuse on the floor.

Waiting for buhari bus stop, though. The beauty of the place only last for a few weeks, before its taken over by filth, excreta, and all sorts. Shame to how we preserve our collective properties in this parts of the world
