Understanding The Demands for Profitable Stewardship.

This will be our series for this glorious week.

To serve God profitably, there are demands to meet, that is, it will cost a price.

Before you win any prize, there is always a price to pay.

Serving God profitably is by choice and not by chance.

No student excels in an exam by default. So also, serving God protitably doesn't come by default.

When Solomon was crowned king, he sacrificed 1000 bulls to God, I think that cost him something.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable,

always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

To abound means to be increasing in our stewardship and commitment to God and the interest of His Kingdom.

God is not a robber, he is not a user of men, he is only looking for whom to bless.

Exodus 23:25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water;

and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

This conversation ensued between Peter and Jesus:

Matthew 19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all,

and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me,

in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands,

for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

It pays the most to serve God.

However, understand that sowing season- sacrifice, always precedes harvest season.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Job 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

Prosperity and pleasures are packages to the people that choose to serve God. Meaning, there will be no sorrows; nothing to regret.

Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament;

and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Demands for profitable stewardship.

1. Serve God righteously. This involves purification, examination and purging ourselves by the Word.

Malachi 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver,

that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

By doing this our service will be acceptable to God.

Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace,

whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal,

The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

We have to align ourselves to the unshakeable foundation of God by running away from sin.

2. Serve God faithfully.

1 Corinthians 4:1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

We must be faithful in our service post.

Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

3:2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

Jesus was faithful, Moses was faithful. Faithfulness is obedience to God.

When you obey divine instructions, you are been faithful to God.

Proverbs 20:7 The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.

When a man serves with integrity, even his children after him are blessed.

Receive grace for profitable service in Jesus name.

Amen
