Umuahia –Plans to Islamise Nigeria by 2025 have allegedly been uncovered by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Advisory Board.
Very Rev. Otuekong Ukut, Chairman of the board and Methodist Presbyter, Anyanya Circuit, Akwa Ibom State, revealed this on Monday in a keynote address at the 8th annual synod of Ebenezer Methodist Church, Ogbodiukwu, Umuopara Circuit of Umuahia West Diocese, Abia State.
Very Rev. Otuekong Ukut said the current onslaught on Christians by suspected Fulani herdsmen across the nation was evidence of the pre-agenda to Islamise Nigeria in 2025.
He alerted Christians to the fact that the election of 2019 was crucial for ‘the Jihadists’ to secure another four years of unfettered access to guns and power, hence under aged had been registered as voters.
The clergy decried the incessant killing of Christians in the country, describing it as unacceptable.
He said: “They have captured all the Northern states and have now pushed into other parts of Nigeria to meet the target of 2025.
“They have captured the Federal Government of Nigeria and all arms of defence – the Army, Air Force, Navy, Police, Civil Defence, Customs, Immigration, Prisons and Presidency, among others.”

CAN should be more guarded with words I would say, you have unilaterally investigated and concluded and even pronounced the collision of a people to islamize Nigeria, CAN even pronounced that the armed forces of Nigeria, the civil service and other arms of government are in on the plans even pronouncing the office of the president. This lacks decorum and dexterity from the Clergy.
Our religious leaders have taken sides in the evil being perpetrated, clergy men that are supposed to mediators of peace are now agitators for peace.
Before they plunge us all into abysmal chaos, them pastors, imams, Alfas and bishops by being non aligned with their reputation as robed.

From this outburst, what is the message being passed across to the populace especially the Christian populace, well I read and understand as a nominal Christian that CAN the foremost Christian legality has just pronounced the on going security crises all over the country as a religious war, mentioning Jihad et Al.
The gravity of this is that Christians are being incited to fight against muslims undiluted from CAN. These pronouncement is not coming from a sect like the Boko Haram etc.. it's coming from the main in local parlance the main headquarters of legal Christianity in Nigeria.

A supposedly hallow place meant for exceptional men of utmost passion for humanity universally has turned to a forum of religiously masked bigots of men bogged down by clannishness, intolerance and outright hatred for the present political situation.

Not far from the truth .. Still wondering why all security apparatuses are left in the hands of muslims.. Are there no competent Christians to fill in some of these positions?? First of all I fault the title of this thread. You can't just pick a statement from a reverend of a church and tag it as CAN. That's just mischievous. Any statement from CAN national must be from the spokesperson of CAN. Every true pastor, reverend in Nigeria is a CAN member but you just can't pick their individual statements and make it into an endorsement of CAN...

Secondly there is an iota of truth in what the pastor said. There as always been plans for islamic dominance in Nigeria since decades past which understandably has many Christians on edge. Islam is a religion that must be monitored closely. They've found a way into the constitution, currency and military thanks to docile Christians that lived in times past. But I'm finally happy that ppl are waking up..

This was how they started in Turkey , a former christian nation, and now forced to become a Muslim country through violence and killings and not by preaching and showing of love that would make people to voluntarily accept the religion.
