Trump saw Ben Carson as his best friend during the primaries of 2016 and Carson didn't make derogatory remarks against Trump(he endorsed Trump immediately after dropping out)... Same as Vivek (he infact was seen as his surrogate).

Ron ran a bitter and spiteful campaign against Trump... He burnt about 200 million dollars only to lose every county in Iowa despite spending most of his time there.
His campaign was kinda annoying just like Haley's.
I don't really see a future for him at near politically.
He may try the senate if Rubio or Rick retires.

How does DeSantis stand a chance against VP Vance (who will inherit Trumpism and MAGA)?
He couldn't even beat Nikki Haley to second in his home state of Florida.

If DeSantis tries to challenge Vance he'd be given the same treatment Trump gave him during the primaries... Vance would remind the base of the betrayer DeSantis is.
DeSantis was roasted and demolished day and night by Trump and his base right from the 'failure to launch' of his campaign on Twitter to abysmal performance in Iowa after campaigning no where else but there for months.

Not sure about Vivek but I think the guy would be solid on issues like Mike Lee, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz... He needs to be given the chance to prove himself.

If only he's ineffective or incompetent like Kamala Harris or he fell out with Trump like Pence.

Similarly, if Whitmer challenges Harris to the nomination, she (Harris) would still be a favourite.

DeSantis would cease power by 2026 and may erode from people's mind by 2028 while Vance would still be making policies till then.

Trump would 100% endorse Vance to be his successor over DeSantis.
Coupled with Vance's incumbency advantage... It's gonna be lights out for anything DeSantis still holds by then.
