It's so easy to blame the herdsmen but how many of you can withstand losses of 300 cows and above? The cattles are their only means of livelihood and it's expected to defend your business interests when threatened. The villagers are at fault for stealing those cattles. For your information, this is more than robbery. In fact, the primary aim is to kill, secondary is the rustling. Evidence of this is sometimes, they just kill the cattle too. You talk as if other communities in all part of the country don't have crisis. Ife/Modakeke and Aguleri/Umuleri are examples.

To solve a problem, you must diagnose the problem. Wrong diagnosis will lead to wrong solution being prescribed. So the real situation is some Berom criminals are killing and robbing Fulani. Stop that and Plateau will go back to being peaceful. Presently, efforts must be geared towards securing all roads that lead to and fro the area to stop killings on roads that have commenced

Is it the Fulani that will finish committing crimes and run into army barracks that you can't catch, or the ones that will ransack villages where people know them too well and can very much identify them?? Even if what you say is true, the security forces are complicit, whether intentionally or not. You keep prosecuting one offender and give the flimsy excuse that you can't find the other (whose kith and kin are the majority in the forces anyway), and expect a positive outcome?? It doesn't work that way. If you can't prosecute both offenders, you are automatically one sided, and can't be trusted.

Also, given the fact that a highly placed military general has publicly said that the military is being one sided, you really shouldn't be pushing an argument that portrays the military, or the government for that matter, as unbiased. That's the reality on ground.

Somehow you brought pastors, robbers and christians into a post that has NOT mentioned any of them. If you can reason, answer this question; Are farmers nomadic or the herdsmen? Can a farmer carry his farmland into a herders pasture and trespass or vice versa? If you indeed decide to forage on my property, should it not be with my permission and subject to my terms? How can you feed your cattle with MY produce that I depend on for a livelihood? Answer these, then we can talk about your "pastors, robbers and christian farmers". And until such a time when farms become motorized , herdsmen are the trespassers.
