Very useless government. One day we hear that government is sharing $322m Abacha loot, basically free money. And then the very same day we hear that same government is seeking to borrow $2b to fund the current year's budget. Is anyone else asking the same questions that I am ? 3 Likes |

[quote author=Ebullience post=68915513]The Federal Government says it will commence disbursement of the recovered 322 million dollars Abacha loot through Conditional Cash Transfers (CCT) to 302,000 poor households in 19 states in July. Tukur Rumar, of the National Cash Transfer Office (NTCO), disclosed this at a roundtable on assets recovery organised by the Swiss Embassy on Thursday, in Abuja. The states include: Niger, Kogi, Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Kwara, Cross River, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Plateau, Nasarrawa, Anambra and Internally Displaced Persons Camps (IDPs) in Borno. According to Rumar, the benefiting households will receive N5,000 monthly. Mr Iorwa Apera, the National Coordinator, National Social Safety Net Coordinating Office (NASSCO), said 503,055 households were already on the NSR register from the 19 states, adding that by July, there would be a social register for all the states of the federation. “The Federal Government would begin with those states, because they had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NASSCO to put in place certain infrastructure to empower the national register. “Some of the states delayed, but the other ones were quick enough to set up infrastructure that allowed us to start work there, but all the states are now on board as they have set up their state operating offices and donated office equipment to us. “As states come on board, we enroll and so they extend to the beneficiary register, and presently we are generating data in all the states now,’’ he said. http://dailypost.ng/2018/06/28/322m-abacha-loot-list-states-receive-cash-july/ [/quote If you have elsewhere to go and live a better life, please you can quietly get your visa and move there.Nigeria will never and never be good for majority of average citizens who aspire to achieve their God given dreams. This story is unheard of any where in the world -that a government sheared public funds to selected individuals...in-fact Nigeria is far beyond "a country".No electricity, no industry, No work, and they are sharing money to individuals who will consume within months.Useless leaders with hen brain. This is clear re-looting! |

If u convert $322 to naira, it is approximately equal to N100billion. Do u mean we cannot use this money and fix at least one of our refineries so that the price of oil can come down Sharing money instead of empowering people to me is a sign of stupidity I tire for this country abeg |

Ebullience:Thieves looking for ways to siphon money. Why can't they use the money to open factories so people can be gainfully employed. Clueless government. Same way there are ghost workers in government is still the same way they'll put up ficticious names. The leaders in the country are all mad. |

Motion123:Bros help me ask. This country is sickening. Sharing #5000 and using the money to build factories or industries so people can be gainfully employed is that not better. After giving the people 5k and it finishes what next?? As if 5000 can remove them from poverty. It shall never be well with the insensitive people in government. |

Russi: If you are an enemy of the westt, you might have a glimpse of why he took money to Swiss Banks Cos with all the money they said Abacha looted by OBJ administration, what did he do with it? After his death, the family members may have used the opportunity to siphon money, that i wont argue Cos his house in kaduna was a modest one, no extravagant structures or luxury cars. And when someone close to him told you what he knows, you that is not even close to your Local Govt Chairman thinks you have an idea of Abacha did & didnt do. If he said Abacha looted, will you be fulfilled in life? |

It's very wrong and discriminatory to distribute the money recovered without the certification of NASS and the Knowledge of the Judiciary. The money belongs to the whole of Nigeria-the poor and the rich. Therefore the money should be distributed for uniform Productive purposes, such as, Modern Ranches, to our 36 State Govts and FCT. Let the Poors go to their States or stay in their States to be compulsorily employed by the Factories on which the money is sunk. In each State, we shall have Buhari's legacies to be named "Abacha Loot Factories". |

OfficialAPCNig:trash trash I have no time for nosense one ipob claim that ss/se is the richest cuz they were not well represented in the money distribution by the dullard Bullhari and that cuz northern state and 3 yoruba state is there it means that Yoruba are poor and ibo rich so my question is was anambra listed cuz the indigenes were poor cuz that’s the logic presented. |
