I have watched with utmost interest seeing cars along the express with their bonnets opened up and their radiator fuming endlessly as a result of over heating. The phenomena has been a recurring sight while i travel on the express and sometime drive along the road.

I went to service my car recently at my mechanic workshop and was surprise to see three cars, all due for change of gasket due to overheating.

I also noticed that mechanics double gaskets but the car initially comes with one.

I once had that experience but a radiator and condenser flush was all i did and the problem was solved. Its over six months now and i have not had the course to add a drop of water into my radiator despite frequent travels with AC ( uromi in edo state, portharcourt, ijebu ode thrice and heavy run around within the town all in a month.

The question is:

What are the likely causes of overheating in cars?

Whats are the likely caution and maintainance tips that can be taken to avoid cars been overheated.
