My best Governor is Governor of Yobe State, Ibrahim Gaidam. He has transform the state particularly the state capital. The education, health, housing and road constructions are receiving the attention they have never received in the history of the state. I commend him for his effort and urge him to continue with his good works.
Re: Best And Worst Governors In Nigeria? by Ruq: 11:28pm On Jun 29, 2010
@Murshe and a lot of people have been condemning Ibrahim Gaidam you are the only one supporting him.

THERE IS SOMETHING I LIKE ABOUT THIS TREAD BECAUSE I WILL NOT LIKE TO RATE ANY OF THEM. TO ME LAGOS STATE GOVERNOR RECEIVED THE MOST VOTED GOOD GOVERNOR, WHILE OGUN STATE RECEIVE THE WORT EST OF ALL GOVERNOR.

BUT TO THINK OF IT

WE HAVE 36 STATES, ONLY 6 GOVERNORS HAVE BEEN MENTION OUT OF THE 36 GOVERNORS AS BEEN GOOD WHAT HAPPENS TO THE REST.

SOME ARE NOT GOOD OR BAD, THEY REMAIN NEUTRAL

TO THE PERCENTAGE, WE HAVE TO GIVE HONOR TO WHO HONOR IS TO BE GIVING.

I SCHOOLED IN OGUN STATE AND I NEVER KNEW SANGO COULD BE LIKE THAT, WE HAVE GIANT OF THE COUNTRY LEAVING THEIR AND WE CAN NOT ENJOY. GOOD ROAD IT MAKES ME CRY AND REGRET TO BE A NIGERIAN SOMETIMES. BABA OBJ PLEASE HELP US TOO THAT IS THE ROAD LINKING TO YOUR FARM ( I HEARD YOU TRY YOU BEST, BABA PUT MORE EFFORT)

FOR ME I WILL NOT SAY GBENGA DANIEL IS THE WORST, ( I WILL TRY AN BEG HIM TO PLEASE LOOK INTO THE SITUATION OF THE STATE ) SO HAS TO HAVE A GOOD NAME BEFORE HE GOES. HE WAS DOING WELL IN IS FIRST 3MONTH, I COULD STILL REMEMBER, BUT WHAT COULD HAVE WENT WRONG.

FOR EXAMPLE
1. ( OWODE-OTTA COULD NOT USE LIGHT FOR LIKE 2 TO 3 YEARS BECAUSE THE VOTED FOR ANPPIN THAT REGION THE PEOPLE LEAVING THEIR HAVE TO CONTRIBUTE TO GET A TRANSFORMER OF THEIR OWN.

I CAN NOT SAY MUCH

I KNOW YOU ARE READING THIS.

I CAN SAY IT ANYTIME ANYWHERE
LAGOS STATE GOVERNOR IS THE BEST

No offense to the supporters of Fashola (I'm also a very strong supporter and admirer of the governor), BUT when it comes to new civil infrastructures, I'm afraid Gov. Akpabio takes the lead there, and a very strong one. You only have to go to Akwa Ibom to see all these. Right now I can say without any iota of doubt that Akwa-Ibom boasts of one of the BEST, it not the VERY BEST, road network in the Federation (excluding the FCT of course). And these includes both state and federal roads, ALL constructed by the State govt. without any input from the Fed. side. The best part of all these is that all these developement witnessed in the state isn't localized in the capital and the surounding LGs but extends to all corners of the state, thus it's impact is felt at the very grass roots. Keep in mind that i haven't mentioned anything on education, marine and air transportation projects spearheaded by the state. I have lived in Rivers state for a very long time, but I can tell you that the current dev., while laudable, there don't even come close to that of Akwa Ibom. Overall, I think the list for the best performing governors ought to be like this:

1) Fashola
2) Akpabio
3) Rotimi Ameachi

Re: Best And Worst Governors In Nigeria? by kfasian: 9:57am On Jul 01, 2010
Gov. Godswill Akpabio is the worst governor in Nigeria today. He is suffering from "squandamania". All the so called infracstructures you are seeing today in Akwa Ibom state were executed by the previous administration of Arc (Obong) Victor Attah.

Godswill Akpabio is sponsoring kidnappers in the state and killing and maiming innocent members of the public just to ensure he gets a 2nd term ticket. Pls forget about all the media propaganda, they are all sponsored by him. I live in Akwa Ibom and I can tell you there is nothing on ground to show for the almost one trillion naira collected by Akpabio in less than 3 years.

thebrideng:

Hei!,

If you don't know anything about Our Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, you better shut up. I believed you are not leaving in Ogun State, you may be from the State, but definitely you are not a residence here.

Otunba Gbenga Daniel has really transformed Ogun State. He is the BEST GOVERNOR OGUN EVER HAVE!

Continue your good work Joo, OGIDI OMO!

Check out this id (thebrideng), this person could be one of the thugs OGD employ in his basterdied programme in Ogun State.

Whether OGD believe it or not "ONE DAY YOU WILL SLEEP AND YOU WILL NOT WAKE UP" Then it will be too late for you to REPENT.

The Best Governor is no Doubt BABATUNDE RAJI FASHOLA. I am in my middle 30's. Since I was born, I have never ever withness the kind of transformation going on in Lagos in any part of this country. Do you mean i can withnessed street light in the ghetto? Think about it on the 26th of Dec 2009, I boarded BRT from Mile 2 To CMS to and fro free of charge. I could remember that day, everybody stepping into the Bus said one thing in common. Whats that thing - Ohh!! Its free, Ahhh God Bless Fashola - that was the slogan. That was the song each and every one sang till we arrived our various destinations. Do you mean I can withnessed a MEGA PROJECT from the inception to its commissioning within the expected period of time, ohhh thats BRF.

When you talk of Leaders who has a Vision and Mission, someone who has a Target and has already mapped out the ways of achieving the said targets. Then u are talking about BRF. FASHOLA, is the only politician that makes me fill I can still change my mind and join Politics of Development. Thou, he has his flaws but undoubtedly, HE IS THE BEST AND REMAINS THE BEST.

The worst I have see so far is OGD-Ogun, AKALA(Former DPO@Ogba/Iponri Police Station -Oyo), OHAKIM - Imo and Bros OYINLOLA - Osun.

I rest my case.

I just got back from my village which happens to be a minority in a minority state, it is in a bush, infact if you get into the bush, u still have to go farther into the bush to get to my village, the miracle is that a dual express way is been constructed straight in to my village on to another bush village further on, how can I not say my gov comrade adams oshomole is the best? He remains among the best.
Re: Best And Worst Governors In Nigeria? by Okijajuju1(m): 9:53pm On Jul 01, 2010
I Think in order to make this post more credible, lets take it upon ourselves to go out with our cameras/camera phones and take pictures of the things we claim make these governors the best and worst.

I have heard liyel imokes name mentioned amongst the best governors and I am wondering why. All he has done in three years that I can see is the introduction of Suzuki picanto (the car no get name cos even suzuki dey shame say them make that kind car) as state taxi, bought some (no option) chevrolets at the cost of full option also as state taxi, and some half option toyota hiace bus as state bus. Whatelse has he done please?? Tinapa is still the same way Donald duke left it, traffic in calabar is worse than before, no new roads are being built, nothing. Abi na canival una dey use rate am?? If so I'm sorry for you cross-riverians.

Picture evidence please.

While we would agree that some of the biggest problems we have are basic infrastructure, we need to understand that the state governors are not on the same pedestal.

What accrues to a lagos or a bayelsa every month, is more than double of what some other states get. With a limited economy, there is only so much IGR you can get. So there is no way we should not expect more effort on the part of the niger delta governors, and lagos. Not holding brief for the rest, because some of them are just clearly not focused, but ND states like ondo, bayelsa that are not making this list should be among the worst if you ask me.

Best - Fashola and Amechi.WORST -Akala and Daniel.
Re: Best And Worst Governors In Nigeria? by akinolasam: 11:34am On Jul 02, 2010
THE ONLY WAY ANY OF THEM CAN BE ADMITTED AS 'GOOD' NOT EVEN BEST IS TO WALK THE STREETS OF THEIR STATE CAPITAL WITHOUT ESCORTS, MOBILE POLICE, OR ANY SECURITY AGENTS.

Whoever can do this freely, can then come back to apply to be rated as BEST.

OH, HOW I WISH WE CAN BE ALLOWED TO CARRY ARMS IN THIS COUNTRY.
WHY SHOULD IT BE THAT ONLY THE NIGER-DELTA FIGHTERS ARE BEEN RESPECTED,
LEGALIZE THE USAGE OF FIREARMS, SO THAT WE CAN CLEAN THE SOCIETY OF THESE POLITICAL MISCREANTS
