PDP Kicks Against Buhari's Comment On Illegal Migrants by 17Ebiscoo: 8:12am On Sep 03, 2018
- PDP has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari's statement on illegal migration

- President Buhari while meeting with Angela Merkel said illegal migrants are doing so at their own risk

- The PDP described this statement as unkind and unnecessary while agreeing with the president that illegal migration is a crime

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said although it agreed with President Muhammadu Buhari that illegal migration is a crime, the party disagreed with the president's recent statement on illegal migrants.

Recall that Mc Ebisco reported that President Buhari, during a meeting with German chancellor, Angela Merkel, said Nigerians leaving the country illegally are doing so at their own risks.

The opposition party, PDP, while reacting to the statement said the president could have been more kind to the plight of Nigerians seeking greener pastures.

The party's national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said: “Is it not disturbing to Mr. President that reports by Nigerian Immigration Services showed that more Nigerians have been trapped in detention and slave camps in various parts of the world?"

Guardian reports that PDP said it is the president’s duty, as elected leader of government, to pursue the fundamental human rights of his citizens, as well as find solution to the problems pushing Nigerians to adopt illegal migration, irrespective of the huge risks, as option for survival.

Mc Ebisco earlier reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC) said that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is committed to mitigating the migration crisis Nigerians are facing, particularly in Libya and in the Mediterranean sea.

The party stated this in a statement issued by Mr Yekini Nabena, its national publicity secretary in Abuja on Sunday, September 2, when he reacted to comments made by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the issue.

Just because you're opposition doesn't mean you have to oppose every statement this administration makes. There's sense in what he said. The moment you decide to leave your country as an illegal, you've decided you're on your own and at the mercy of whomever.

If PDP existed 3000 years ago, I'd have concluded they wrote Lamentation 10 vs 22

Buhari got involved in xenophobic attacks in SA , even though the fight and killings is as a result of their drug peddling and money spending habits

This same man sponsored the return of thousands of them from Libya, he even approved startup funds for them the idiots of instead of being grateful rejected the amount

Talked to world leaders about rights of people (Nigerians in diaspora most importantly)

And many more but what does he get from self acclaimed and originators of wailing? Insults

Most of these idiots staying illegally in foreign countries have been back there since before 2013

Some have spent 5-10 years there illegally, doing illegal jobs and spending money they didn't earn so much to attract attention

And is it by force to stay in Oyinbo land? Afterall if you return home and re-apply for visa they will give you

Just that some idiots who caused several Nigerians to leave the country are the ones calling Buhari "unkind"

Shameless people
