house spent N9b on themslves only to make an expense list with touchligths,footmarts inclusive,who told the senators now know that N10b on Nigeria @ 50 is wastefull.
well maybe sharing it among the senators in the name of education subsidy or job creation will enable the same N10b go through the rigth hands who think they migth not waste it.Seleh.

I must tell you, the money is too outrageous and Nigeria does not have any cause for celebration. But all those money that has been voted for various institutions should be utilized.

I don't agree with spending N10b on a day's event
I have read somewhere the amount is actually N16b
If we want to be fair
let us look for the 75m Nigerians (50% of the population) who live on less than $1daily
We should given them $1 on that day ie N150 per person
This will be N11.25b
That will be a memorable 50th anniversary for them

How ridiculous can Jonathan be? He seems clueless as to what his priority should be. Though the Senators are not trust-worthy I support their opposition to this senseless waste of money. I'm begining to feel like GJ is either so detached or just doesn't give a damn about the masses and the country's sorry state. Fix power problems, security, human rights, economy then worry about celebration.
