toba: @toba, I think you need to talk to badaru and let him help you optimise that 4m dish of yours. There is an invacom lnb he is using with his 2.6m dish and cnn is dancing on his screen for most times of the day. It is a bit unbelievable that your not recieving cnn even with a 4m dish in Lagos! |

@Olatiler,It is very possible to install 1.10p without installing 1.09p.@Akereko,your 69x is not dead, find one with a similar decoder with the same patch and do a unit to unit data transfer. |

IRAPADA: No,they are no longer free but national geo Abudabi is free. Buy a Fuji lnbf & tweak as stated previously George_D: In addition, you need to check your dish alignment cos it happens in my area where cnn is generally btw 52% to 60% (if using fuji lnbf) on 1.8m pan dish & others cant get it no matter the lnbf skew. The solution most times is realignment or rearrangement (if its the fragmented type). |
Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by Nobody: 1:40am On Sep 13, 2010 |
Forget about alignment,i ve done that severally&i use a fuji lnb bought from ALABA for N3500. Except if i get another lnbf stronger than fuji |

toba: @toba, Badaru is live in Lagos and I think being an eminent member of this forum he will never shy away from helping a fellow member in need. Just get across to him and all your nilesat challenges will be history. Also about nilesat 201, while we are all expecting it to have better coverage than 101, I'd advise not to count your chickens before they are hatched. Just go ahead and fix your dish and if 201 turns out to be what we expect it to be, you won't lose out either way. |

@Ilish I have not tried Badr 6 but I did try W2A the much talked about new african beam on eutelsat 2 @ 10E, 11638 H 27500, mostly French speaking but found that the channels are scrambled. MGM Portugal and Afromusic on 11663H 3830 remain fta. On combining 2 KU band LNBs (one for etv and one for W4) on one dish, you sound as if you have done this on a 90 cm one. If yes pls give me a tip on how you did this so that I can free up my 1.8m dish. @all Russia Today (RT), a news channel, has been added to W4/W7 which is fast becoming my best bird receivable in my region. |

Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by Ilish(m): 6:28pm On Sep 13, 2010 |
@CANDYMAN,Combining etv and w4/7 on a 90cm dish is very easy.Use w7 as the main satellite. There after, tie the other lnb just next to the w7 lnb to your left.Start searching the etv signal from that position. It is easy if your are patient.Try it and make the best of it.Email me on: wma21st@gmail.com we talk about Rdv. |

@Candymann, Candymann:Is this TP an MPEG2 or MPEG4? Do you know its FEC (e.g. 3/4)? Some decoders such as DSD1110 will require this input. Thanks. |

@all What could be the explanation for the same patch/upgrade behaving differently on the same type of (4669x) strong decoder? Is this a problem with the patch or the decoder(s)? |
Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by Ilish(m): 2:31pm On Sep 14, 2010 |
@ALL and @CANDYMAN,The patch is damn good. The problem mostly are viruses. Most of the usb flash disk people use are infected. The best way is to format the flash and carry the patch alone in that flash. The other source of worry is of fake models. Many fake models have flooded the market. When upgrading the patch, lets all adhere to raid down procedures: Why upgrade when you dont have to?The most worrying part is that you cant upgrade to a lower version when you have migrated to a higher version.LETS BE CAUTIOUS |

Candymann:@Candymann I upgraded my SRT4669x with this patch and no problem of any sort came up with my decoder maybe you did not do it the right way. how did you carry out the upgrade maybe with that the solution can be found |
