Hello, For funds and assets: based on what was written in th refusal letter, when re-applying, you'll need much more than the 11.9m you have. You'll need to have your tuition + 10k cad in your sponsor's account before you apply. For family ties: I'm guessing you stated that you have family in Canada; if you did this, it was wrong. I don't know how to undo it, so maybe someone else can help out there. For purpose of visit, you'll have to tell us what course you're going for and what your undergraduate course was so we know if there's a correlation. I hope this helps. Hopefully someone else can be of more help to you. Cheers. Raheembisi: |

Bracha:Thank you, yea I am going to get more financial document to support.even though the tuition is about 6k cad and I have enough for two years.I dont have any family in Canada at all. I studied microbiology, applied for postgraduate diploma in food science in the university of Saskatchewan. The program is has division in food microbiology and my undergraduate course has prerequisites for it which I stated in the sop.i ordered the GMCs note to get more insight |

Hello, Before help arrives, you can always use google first. Just type in what you're searching for, "schools in Canada offering agricultural engineering for PGD" and voila! Quick responses. Good luck. darey360: |

Please I need help, I have my first degree from a Nigerian Uni, masters degree from a UK uni and now I am looking at applying for a graduate certificate program in Canada, I want to know if it won't be an overkill to include my masters degree in my application. Also, I am aware of the FSW thingy for express entry and I'm also exploring that, however, I have heard that even I get into Canada through the express entry programme, getting a job wouldn't be easy and I may need to obtain a Canadian educational qualification even if its a diploma before I can easily be considered by job recruiters P.S. Proof of funds and travel history aren't are problem for me, what are my chances of getting a student visa?. Austacus: |

Eedric:Eedric, It may interest you to know that several folks on this window have secured their Visas without having to travel out from the shores of their home country. Therefore, you don't obligatorily need to travel to another country in light of acquiring a travel history before applying for a Canadian study visa. 1 Like |

zsuby: Yes, if the passport is submitted at the same place where biometrics was done, then its free. If not, I think you'll have to pay 13k or there about for passport transmission. 1 Like |

gatsbym4: It won't be feasible for a small company in Nigeria to sponsor an applicant to study abroad given the visa officer requirement for a high influx of funds into sponsor's account statement over the past few months and not a modest income. Applicants that have made use of highly established companies with huge bank statement figures still get rejected on the basis of financial insufficiency, I wonder how you will pull through with a small company. I suggest you use a close relative which could be (father, mother, siblings, aunt or uncle) as prime proof of sponsorship whilst, the company come in as the auxiliary sponsor to your application. With regard to the aforementioned, the company should have in excess the total amount of your first year tuition and living expenses in the account. 1 Like |

nonipeter: The biggest hurdle you've to overcome is securing a TRV for yourself as you will have to explain conscientiously with evidence, what you've been doing since you left secondary school (2010) until now, why you've not attained any post-secondary education and why you think you're a suitable applicant for the program you're accepted in and your plans to graduate with high grades considering your huge study gaps. In respect to your admission, this would be the least of your worries because you're very likely to get an acceptance offer from the school. 1 Like |

Raheembisi: I regret to hear your study visa application was rejected based on the few reasons highlighted by the visa officer on the attachment. It's nice to see that you've taken bold steps by ordering your GCMS notes so as to have a clearer insight on what actually went wrong with your previous refused application. In the absence of the note, you may check this POST, while working towards submitting your next application. By the way, why PGD program instead of a direct Master's program? It shall end in praises in your reapplication. 1 Like |

marshallian50: It’s better you don’t waste your application fee. Don’t let that grammar confuse you because definitely before they finally accept your application you MUST identify a faculty member willing to supervise you.. so you see, it’s as good as securing a supervisor before beginning a formal application. I advice you to make sure you secure a supervisor before you apply so you can be on a safer side, but Godforbid no one accepts to supervise you after you have applied, that means your application fee is gone. Kindly contact potential supervisors in your department, if they give you a positive response very fine go ahead with your application, if they don’t.. then save your money and check other universities, as they can’t offer you admission without you identifying a supervisor. I was once a victim!.. 5 Likes |

Pinky16: First and Foremost, I will start by congratulating you on your achievement (a funding from your proposed university) With reference to your questions, find the below answers; Question 1: Yes, you do need a fresh SOP for your visa application in view of the fact that the SOP you submitted during your application for admission didn't cover up some vital points which the visa officer would want to see when reading through your letter. Due to this, Your SOP must be coherent, concise, and should reflect the following points: Paragraph 1: Describe your academic background briefly. Paragraph 2: The program of choice. Paragraph 3: Why the school in Canada. Paragraph 4: Why you choose Canada not Nigeria Paragraph 5: Financial support, how you intend to finance your studies in Canada without working. Paragraph 6: Future goals and prospects, What you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you and translated to your home country in the near future. Paragraph 7: Home ties, what can compel your departure after authorized visit to Canada. Question 2: Aside your funding worth 18.780 CAD per annum from the University, you are ought to provide additional proof of financial support for yourself and any of your accompanying family members i.e 3KCAD for dependant child and 4KCAD for dependant adult as shown on IRCC official website. More so, have some funds left for your flight itinerary and other expenses. Question 3: Is your husband the bonafide owner of his firm? The call certificate as well as his CAC registration certificate will stand-in as his company documents. Since it's two different applications merged as one, you will pay for your self and your husband at same time. The picture size is the normal 2 by 2 passport photograph. All you need to do, is walk into any of the business centers close to your locality and request for a visa passport photograph and it will be given to you. The passport photograph must be in white background. Question 4: Pay stubs are also known as pay slips. Most established organizations, use them to pay their employees at the end of every month. If you have any, you can as well include them with your application in evidence to your personal financial establishment. As regards to the IRCC documents, the list of the forms will be generated on your behalf based on the answers you provide when filling the online study permit questionnaire. I hope the above answers your questions. Best of Luck! 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello Famz, I am planning to apply for a Canadian study visa in few days. I got admission to study for an MSc/PhD degree in Chem & Pet Eng at University of Calgary. I applied initially for a PhD degree but was offered due nonavailability of enough funding to support my PhD studies. I was promised a change of program depending on my first semester performance. My scholarship is worth $21k per annual and will like to confirm if that funding will be enough for upkeep. Please note that the funding will be used to cater for the tuition fee as (tuition of about $14k for 1st year and $3k for 2nd). Thanks. |

Frankrobbn1: Thank you I’m just so confused now sef, the reason we wanted to use my company in the first instance is because of home ties, my dad can sponsor me, that’s why I’m using my company as first sponsor and dad as second sponsor, but now that ure saying it has to be a big company with high influx of cash, i don’t understand anymore, my dad can sponsor and maybe my uncle too but the thing is issue of home ties, how do I convince the VO I’m coming back...pls advice...Didn’t know it would be this hard I just thought if I get admission all the rest na small thing, admission sef is the least of problems. |

My brother got admission in to Fanshawe College in Ontario for PGD via a travelling Agent and all payment for school fees was made via the Agent. He was denied visa early last year and he deferred his admission till September. He later had to defer his admission again till January because he didn’t get a response from the embassy about his visa application. Unfortunately he got denied late November and we’ve been on her neck for the refund of school fees till now. Yesterday she’s told us she has gotten an alert of 2.8mllion for the refund while we paid a total of 4.3million to her. I have tried checking the college refund policy and I still don’t understand why the money is been reduced from her end. Pls has any one have such encounter with Fanshawe College before and how about there refund policy because we feel she’s scamming us due to the 4months it took her to get back to us. 1 Like |

Hi, You can use your company as a home tie. You can say you put someone there to manage it while you're away and will need to come back immediately to continue running it. I'm sure someone else will help out more, but your company could be a strong home tie. Cheers. gatsbym4: 1 Like 1 Share |

I will quickly point out here in my sarcastic way, the desperate way we want to travel out of this by falling into all sort of troubles. I have someone on my neck right now hell bent on college... I gave my simple advice, "college is 10% Visa Assurance! They insisted we try, and the college policy is that they pay 10,000 Dollars for admission letter! I advised against it but they insisted. Let us be careful and slow to act. Startup00: |
