Protecting the rights of young girls has always been a strong area of interest for the Restoration Government,we have carried out several campaigns,Advocacies and trainings as a means of empowering our girls for a better future His Excellency Gov.Henry and Dr.Mrs Rachel Seriake Dickson are very passionate about the protection of children and especially the female child in Bayelsa State and has achieved a lot by promoting the rights of Children...through the Provision of laws and creation of special offices for children and girlchild protection and also creating an enabling environment and a universal access to education for all children in the state which is a key area of focus,.Having provided best and well equipped boarding and model schools and training of the trainers.

As the DG on Girlchild Protection Bureau, it is important to emphasize the critical role education is playing in the life's of our children which helps in ending early child marriage and unwanted pregnancies without which it is very difficult to totally empower our girls to enable achieve their full potentials...So today we join the world in celebrating girls all over and call on all stakeholders to emulate bayelsa state and help save and empower our future leaders and future mother's.
