Mrs. Immaculata Charles Effiong was born in Uyo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State. She had her primary education at St. Athanasius Primary School, Nung Oku Ibesikpo and later proceeded to Loreto Girls’ Juniorate, Eriam, Abak, where she obtained her West African School Certificate in 1980.

Mrs. Effiong attended School of Basic Studies, Akamkpa, and after her certification by Interim Joint Matriculation Board in 1983, she gained admission into University of Calabar in the same year to study English and Literary Studies. She graduated in 1986 and went for the mandatory National Youth Service Corps the same year. She served in the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Navy Town, Lagos.... How can a director of PG school of a Univerisity not be atleast a doctorate degree holder? Doesnt speak well of the school.
