However, no state is ready to shoulder the responsibility of another state in creating a welfare policy for its indigent population. There are migrants of every tribe working and residing in Lagos. They do not live under the bridge or roam about without a job or known address of residence.

It is not the role of a state government to act regarding foreigners influx into any state in Nigeria, that is the role of the Federal Government.

The simple question to Peter Obi and his ilk is, why did he "tribalise" a practice that even he was guilty of? A practice that was executed without regard to tribes or regions, but specifically as it concerns the state governments not carrying the burden of another state and the associated security concerns, even if they belong to the same tribe.
