Jesus came during the Law! with significance: (His coming, His presence, and His Death) His coming was not to abolish the Law, But ''Jesus Death'' Ended the law...That includes Tithe Colossians 2:13-14 (KJV) 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross So if you pay Tithe today, Of what significance is jesus Death to you? except pleasing your pastor. What exactly do you mean? Are you saying that since Jesus death 'abolished ' the law, it is now okay to steal, lie, commit adultery, but down to graven images, disobey our parents, etc? |

Please Op, be careful not to mislead people by quoting the scripture upside down. Do not forget that scriptures must be interpreted by scriptures as the bible said. So, why trying to buttress your point and defend your position on tithing, do not forget to search careful what the bible said. For instance, most of the opponent of tithing always quote Apostle Paul as saying we should do away with the law, or it's a season of grace, but look at what the man said. Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. 3:29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: 3:30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. Pay attention to the last verse above and tell Me what you see there?. We are not under the law, yes, but we do not make void the law!. We are not justified by the law, but do not mess around with its commandments. Certain practices, like animal sacrifices, eat this and don't eat this, likewise some other religious observations have been set aside based on scriptures. But at no point did the Bible ask you to stop tithing. Tithing as a matter of fact preceded the law. My dear, be very careful not to be deceived, and do not allow yourself be used to deceive another. Malachi 3:10 still stands!. It's not about law, but about obedience, disobey and pay dearly for it!. 1 Like |
