Modphase: Stop making it look like its an igbo thing. Yorubas also have this condescending attitude towards the hausas too. You will hear the word 'awon aboki' used by the yorubas alot. It is the same yorubas that fight with the hausas in lagos. I have alot of experience with yorubas always insulting hausas in the north for being slow or acting unintelligent. You can not say it is particular of any tribe because other tribes see them that way too. It is what you show to other people you are ascribed as. 2 Likes |

resurgent4oodua: Don't play the moral card on me, Oga. You are the one that started it. You've been jumping from one thread to the other on nairaland, shouting "Igbos will never get to Aso rock!" What do you mean by the statement "Cut down this hateful tribe" Hateful tribe when I'm the one that brought the white flag. I am ready to forgive you Nigerians even without you apologizing just for peace to reign but see the kind of statements you brought to a peace meeting. Show me one thread on nairaland where someone acknowledging he/she is yoruba and is sympathetic to the marginalization Igbos have faced over the years. I can tell you with all assurance that words like "OSU", "Biafrau d" came to Nairaland first before words like "Afonja" and "Abobaku". It's time to let go of the hate in your heart for the Igbos. You are a Christian or you claim to be. Our doctrine is that we can and should forgive anything. I am begging you, if our crime is that we are boastful, we are sorry.. but let's stop hating each other. We are humans first before racials, and tribals.. The world is big enough for all of us. 2 Likes |

0monnak0da: When you say a land is barren, do you mean the land is barren from building houses and industries because I do not understand. I do not think any state in Nigeria as much real estate and industry as lagos but it happens that lagos is the smallest state in the country. Igbos build both home and away from their states. What you see in lagos, there is high possibility that it has been replicated in the east or better. So the joke is on you that an igbo man who owns a house in lagos will go to the village to sleep in the street. If igbos want to play the ethnic card, we will behave like the hausa who sleep in low cost houses in lagos and other regions and build fantastic homes in kano where he keeps his wives and children. At least igbos contribute in paying taxes in your cities and contribute in other areas like education and industry too. Apart from a few rich hausas, how many people contribute there? The first hate I experienced was in the west when you are surrounded by the yorubas. They look at you with such disdain that you start asking yourself why did you come here the first place. 4 Likes |

MeanChris: See ehn, on ground, nobody really has time for who or what igbos are. Nigerians are pretty set in their ways on how they view igbos and you igbos have forged ahead with your trading business regardless. I appreciate the gesture behind creating this thread but it won't change the facts on ground that other Nigerians will not lie down and allow Igbos trample on them. From where I stand, I think what igbos are asking for is that the other major tribes allow themselves be trampled upon, which would never happen. With regards to igbo pride, we are used to it by now and have accepted that that is the make up of the igbos. Online insults for a century will not change the average igbo neither will it change how other Nigerians view igbos hence why I said we should continue enduring how Nigeria is. I am a Christian and I have accepted my fate that I can't change the behaviour of the average igbo man. Therefore, hating the igbos will be needless and highly detrimental to my health. #istandwithbuharitill2023 1 Like |

KANUISALIVE:Lol, now i get your point and that is what we always want to be hearing from you guys. Always clarify. Now let me ask you, why would they travel to other part of the country when their own region is the best in the nation where every other regions always want to come. Average yorubas think of traveling to a place better than his home of which none is in the country. So they rather travel abroad. Telling yorubas to travel to east or north is like telling europeans to travel to africa. Do not mind us, we always think of better place than our own place. Hope you grab it. 10 Likes 1 Share |

KANUISALIVE:Lol, i asked simple question, this mumu resulted into insult, now who is hungry, jobless n iliterate among us. You are daft and you keep showing it. Nigeria was running regional govt before your ironsi changed the system to unitary in the aim to favour igbos of which una enjoyed it thinking you can cage other tribes until the table turns and una started wailing. Why did you not thrive then, why waiting for another 30years. Why are your leaders not showing it now. You are daft. 7 Likes |

That is what we call investment not the filth you display in Ladipo The reason you are all over the place is yout land is TINY and yes is is barren. Spiritually, agricultually and economically barren. Do not try and dress that up as you not playing ethnic card. Your land is smaller than Kwara state 5 Likes |

Nigerian problem started when Eboes woke up one day and killed Balewa,Bello,Akintola OkotieEboh and spared Zik and Okpara taking other Nigerians for tools. They then went on to make records taunting the Hausa people Ewu ne ba akwa Goats are crying They made posters casting the killers as Jesus and the victims as Satan in the Islamic North 4 Likes |

NaijirianKing: Guy pls it's enough pls, this statement just made me see you are being sentimental with your arguments, When was Biafra even a country, and when was it created for how long? Mind you the purpose of the war was FOR BIAFRA TO BE AN INDEPENDENT STATE, not because Biafra was already an independent state. Am not against any tribe but I hate people that try to gather sympathy through propaganda. You have been raving about how the Ibos were short changed by Awo, now the same you are saying the Nigeria Govt outlawed the Biafra currency rendering all the Ibos money useless, so why do you even want Nigeria money again when you have already converted all your assets to Biafran currency, can't you see the Ibos sold all their belongings and headed to their stronghold to brace for the war? Have you forgotten you lost the war? Do you think it's a small price you pay for losing a war? For how long will you guys play this victim card? The truth is you will never heal when you keep feeding yourself this one sided stories. Other tribes in the South had also lost a great deal, but no theirs is not important its the lose of the Ibos that should be the concern of all. Am sure this one sided story is what you will tell your kids and the cycle continues. My coach said if you are running a race to win you don't keep looking back, you set your sights on finish line ahead of you. 3 Likes |

Check my profile and see similar article I have written promoting peace. You have earned my followership. I'd advise that you spend time on quora more if you don't already.
