ghostwon: Don't be stupid. Igbo and Edo culture are not the same and can never be. This one that you're saying Anioma and Ikwerre will fight against us ala na pu gi. You think Chukwuka of Delta state will fight Chukwuka of Anambra or Nnamdi of Rivers state will fight Nnamdi of Abakiliki. Lol. Anuofia! Don't even try it! We are watching to see how you handle the umu ndi igbanke in Edo State. Any kakle and you guys will know that we are not a majority tribe in name only. Onyiberibe!!! 5 Likes |

Amadioha01: I wonder who the extremists you refer to are. Benin people are going to those places you mentioned and meeting these descendants. From Warri (Olu of Warri palace) to Ga people of Accra in Ghana. The clips are on you-tube. Nobody lay claims to No-one. People believed to descend from Benin have a right to be told. Those people also have the right to refuse to come into the fold. What I do not get is someone from Imo or Ebonyi telling us that Onitsha or Anioma people cannot be told what our common history says. For example when Benin people visited Degema, many people there felt they were abandoned all these years as Benin people didn't seek them out. They began to come out with stories their late parents and grandparents told them about their Benin origin. Many across West Africa were told by now late family members of their Benin origin but just didn't know where or how to start searching. Some just do not have the drive or means, amidst daily struggle for survival. Including Ga people of Ghana I have met in Diaspora. As much as Igbo people claim descending from Gad, what percentage of Igbo have gone to Israel to seek their Gad tribe origin? When Igbo go it's as Christian pilgrims by and large. Whereas I have seen Israelis visit Igbo land including Obu Gad in Aguleri. One has to be open-minded and learn about and from others. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Sinistami:It's not... Infact your dialect is a clan under the Urhobo language... My father's town Ekameta in Delta State close to bayelsa speak exactly the same though I can't speak it but I understand it very well for I speak the ughelli dialect of Urhobo. Ever wonder why your dialect is similar to the ofoni people's? 1 Like |
