That's how it works. Western world subsidies theirs by partnering private organisations on providing grants for their universities, while in Africa everything is left for government to shoulder. Government alone can't finance education that's d truth.

Oga, i'm a product of UI, and i can boldly tell you that theres no such thing as "sorting" in UI......i dont know about other schools ooo, but UI......its a NO NO.
The lecturers there own other professional businesses of their own which sorts out their financial burdens, and are equally disciplined.

I paid as low as 16,450 and the highest was19,200 while I was in University of Ibadan.

Very wrong information!!! Where is unilag? Who told you NOUN is cheap... I've like 2 or 3 friends that dropped from the school of the high school fees

other fees in Uni Ibadan are Dept due, Faculty due and Hostel due (highest 2000 each, in fact the management wanted making it 500# but people had to intervene on behalf of the student executives at all levels)

Paid 8,700 for 4 years in OAU. I wonder why the school is no longer cheap
