This dirty pond popularly known as "Ogwuapku" is the source of drinking and cooking water for the people of Oduma villages. Despite having many politicians, including people like Ike Ekweremmadu, the chairman of Aninri LGA and two time formal commissioner of sports Hon. Okezie Nwanjoku, Oduma has always been the epicenter of underdevelopment in Enugu State. Even electricity is yet to reach many villages in Oduma since the creation.
