The future destiny of a child is always the work of the mother but that is not the case with Fatima whose parents got divorced when she was a baby and was left to live with father's family with no remembrance of her birth date or the face of her mother ***************************** I met her yesterday, Jan 24, sitting beside a basket filled with cherry at Eko Idumota bridge. She looks matured but I must tell you, Fatima doesn't know her date of birth, neither does she know who her mother is. Her parents got separated when she was a baby. She was abandoned by them and she started living with her father's family in Kwara State. According to her, she stopped going to school in Primary 3 and was moved to Mubata, Lagos Island last year. The people, who she is currently staying with doesn't have any plans of enrolling her in school, all she does is to hawk for them everyday.
