Eighty-six ladies wore wedding gowns to celebrate after having concluded basic self-starter acquisition programmes in Anambra state.

The ladies were presented with start-up equipment and stipends by the Wife of the state governor, Chief (Dr.) Ebelechukwu Obiano, to venture into their chosen enterprises.

The graduands, trained at the Skill Acquisition Centre, Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, had undergone intensive skilled programmes in different skill-based areas including Food and Nutrition, Tailoring, Computer Education, Arts and Crafts and Hair Dressing and Cosmetology.

On display are handmade products by the graduands, as well as supporting empowerment tools.
