Most of us on this platform are ex corpers and trust me we had harsh treatment and even more in camp. I feel no sympathy for those pictures posted of corpers sleeping in buses or on the floor cause u signed for it ...inec no force you oh
. You are right sir. However, nobody will just take delight in suffering, most of these corps members are in a state of financial mess and look at the present cost of living in the country. INEC should pay them their allowances as agreed.

Training allowance is given after the job has been performed in most cases - check out how private organisations, which are standard for this practice do it - they are lucky inec did not sub-contract training to consultancy firms -

The only thing that INEC can do to appease us for the unfavorable situation we experienced is to increase our Electioneering allowance and pay us our outstanding Training Allowance. We were promised that we would be paid before the election, only to be abandoned at our RAC centres without any form of security. It is on this note we have decided to inform INEC, NYSC and the entire public that Corps members are deeply aggrieved and we need our renumeration for every physical and psychological stress we have been put through.

This is just the brginning..... the first group to show their anger. Seems like the INEC had no intention of paying them.... if they aren't paid for the 16th....why will they be paid for the 23rd?....why will they or the others show up for the 23rd if not compensated? ... budgeted money is not available .... where would extra money come from for the 23rd?.... whatever problem caused the postponement remains...plus all these other bigger problems caused by the postponement...but yet....the elections will run smoothly on the 23rd? Really? My advice to people..... buy and store as much ration as possible

Don't mind them.
I'm a CO for Lagos Island and trust me, up to 90% of the Corpers begged for their names to be included in the exercise. Some even bribed some of the officials for it.
NB : about 60% of Nairaland members are secondary school children and leavers, and undergraduates.

Try and use your brain Mr PhD holder even if they beg for their name to be included does that mean that they shouldn't be paid?
The company you're working for came to your house to employ you right?

Who released this rabid dog?
I know your brain won't comment on the bribery part. They knew what it entails and the possible woes and they still opted for it.
The postponement was very necessary and I commend inec for it. I have spent all 15k too and I haven't been paid, yet I am not complaining.
