Below is the format. If both letters have those details, then you are safe uploading them alone.

"a reference or experience letter from the employer, which

should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits; "

However, it may also make sense to prepare for a scenario in which you get an ADR for payslips. You can ask the cash paying company for a salary certificate.

The cancellation of COPR is the issue. We will both wait and come back for the wedding.

Thank you very much! Congrats to you and @JustinTrudeau smiley

Ifeoma77:

You are free to get married before landing, but you MUST inform IRCC. Whether it's court o, trad o, church o or mosque, you must inform them. Both your COPRs will be cancelled and new ones issued.

Or you can both do soft landing and come and get married. If you don't want to come back for wedding, do the wedding in Canada.

In other news, twale to you and your fiance!! I like your style cheesy

Ideally, paid and volunteer are contradictory. Volunteer work does not count for EE. Also what were you paid? A stipend or salary?

@bolded

"Federal Skilled Worker Program
Minimum requirements
Skilled work experience
Your work experience must be:

in the same type of job as your primary NOC
within the last 10 years
paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships don’t count)
at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC)
at least 1 year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous:
full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
You must show that you did the duties set out in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC, including all the essential duties and most of the main duties listed."

But if you still want to claim it as work experience, you have to get a reference letter. It would be nice if the letter omits the volunteer information and if your company do not have to mention the volunteer thing. Just full time employee, 40 hours a weeks, paid so and so. You should have pay slips, salary certificate or bank statements to back up the claim. Read more here

Pls I'd like to ask if it is possible to make a request to CIC to postpone one's initial entry date (IED). My IED is before June 27, 2019 and I may not be able to travel before that time.

Your best option might be to plan for a short landing.

Hello everyone, My husband and I have had intentions to relocate for a while now but we’re not sure how to go about it till we found this thread and watched some videos on youtube.

We have begun our ECA with IQAS didn’t know about WES before now and also preparing for IELTS but I have a couple of questions.

From the eligibility quiz we have taken, my score is 394 (I have a B.A certificate, I’m less than 30 years of age and I have 2 years proven work experience as an HR)
My Husband’s CSR score is 400 (He’s above 30 years of age, about 6 years experience as a graphic designer, and an HND) what can we do to increase our point?

-we have a close friend in Canada can we add him as a relative living in Canada to claim the point? if so , what are the things we’ll need to do to prove our relatedness to this person?

-I have been reading about knowing the appropriate time to enter the pool, Please I need more explanation on this.

As to POF, can we include our pension fund? If yes, how do we go about this?

Any other information you think might help is highly appreciated.

Fellow citizens,so this is it...
I know most of you might not know me but my name should suggest something to you, right? Big thanks to all the elders that rocked part 3-5 with me,most of them are in Canada right now. Ok lets cut to the chase, its finally PPR and COPR for the PM.

Decision to travel: December 2015 after my NYSC.

I started scrambling for foreign scholarships, engaging agents on how to obtain US visa with ease, how gullible i was then. I fell into the wrong hands and all my savings depleted. I even joined the students usa visa thread where the likes of lagosismyhome were elders then. Just know something today, agents are not your friend, all they wanna do is enrich their pockets. Fastforward to 2017,my brotherinlaw said he knows one agent that can help me with Canada, i was reluctant at first, agent again. I finally visited the guy in his office and he mesmerized me with juicy details about Canada and Australia,i met some gullible ones there too nodding their head like agama lizard in affirmation. He told me to write IELTS first and aim for a good score, he was not specific. I left his office that day thinking sebi its just English and this agents seem nice.

Wrote my first IELTS May 2017 scored 6,6.5,7,7 LRSW. I called the agent and he said its not enof,i was devastated and summoned courage that i will write another one. In the middle of it all,i kept calling my agent he stopped picking my calls, stopped responding to my messages,i visited his office he was just giving lame excuses that my assessment is not yet out. Chai see gullibility at his best all over me. He frustrated me to start reading on my own that was how i stumbled on this thread. I was chewing it like agege bread and zobo (ounje mechanic).

I wrote IELTS for the 2nd time August 2017 and that was how my frustration began. After 13 days BC refused to release my results. Ayeraye ninu awon orun o,they have come again o.They said my result was witheld for quality checks. Chai why me. Did i tell you i had to walk out of a toxic employment during this period. I was lonely, sad and depressed. 2 months down the line no results after several mails and calls. By November 2017,i visited their office and they appealed to me to be patient. Patience kwa after 3 months what if the score is not even worth it. I couldn't even write another one then as advised by folks cos i was broke.

IQAS dealt with me too,i won't bore you with that, see my IQAS timeline below. The next time i hear I before u hear Q i don run

Lo and behold my IELTS of 4months was delivered to my house 2 days after i received my ECA and it came out positive.

Listening: 8.5
Reading:8.5
Speaking: 7
Writing : 7

Come and see your PM cry of joy then,i was there was a Sophie by my side then, well sha maybe i will talk to Ifeoma77 about that later wink. I dived into the pool with #435. That was how IRCC decided to increase scores,CRS refused to drop. Which kain life be this. That was how i dug up my ATS and since IQAS does not evaluate professional cert i needed to cough out another cash for WES. I researched online if i can merge 2 ECAs as 2 or more. Happytbaby came to the rescue,God bless you Happy wherever you are. She advised i do a small table with name of institution, certificate obtained, year of study, assessment body and ECA number and back it up with LOE.

Fastforward July 2018 ICAN ATS cameout positive after months of back and forth. I dived into the pool with #468 scores. Thought i will get smooth 3 months processing as my file was in Ottawa. For where, i got PPR just few days to the 6months clock. At this time, i was no longer bothered as my patience gear was already on gear 5, i just told God to have his way and i continued with the waiting game. Glory be to God almighty.

The ND statement of result I sent to WES is not so clear but later I now found another one that I kept hidden somewhere and that one is very clear, WES just message me now that verification has been sent to my school, my question is in that case it means the none so clear one has been accepted right? Cos it has been given me some kind of concern thanks

My Husband’s CSR score is 400 (He’s above 30 years of age, about 6 years experience as a graphic designer, and an HND) what can we do to increase our point? Your husband should evaluate both OND and HND that will add to his points.

-we have a close friend in Canada can we add him as a relative living in Canada to claim the point? if so , what are the things we’ll need to do to prove our relatedness to this person? No

-I have been reading about knowing the appropriate time to enter the pool, Please I need more explanation on this. When both IELTS and ECA is ready you can jump into the pool

As to POF, can we include our pension fund? If yes, how do we go about this? Yes but 25% only.

Any other information you think might help is highly appreciated.

You are God from beginning to the end, there is no place for argument, You are God all by yourself.

Timeline:
IELTS: 12 May 2018 LRWS - 8.5/9/7/8.5
ECA: 11 June 2018 – WES / Spouse ECA – 21 June 2018
EE Profile Created: 22 June 2018 CRS 451[b]

Got 1st Gcms note – applied 4 Oct 2018 after been notified through CSE enquiry on 3 Oct 2018 that my file was at AVO, received note 9 Nov 2018
From the Notes, file transferred to AVO – 30 Aug 2018 – workload distribution
2nd ADR: 21 Feb 2019 – payslips, bank statement highlighting salary deposits, family information form and schedule A for hubby and I.
PPR: 4 April 2019

Family of 5

[b]DECISION TO TRAVEL:

Surprisingly, as informative as I thought I was, I never heard about the express entry until March 2018. I just returned from the US after having my last baby and I was reluctant to return to work after maternity leave. Spoke to hubby about our future plans, particularly about our 1st daughter who was born in Nig, unlike the other 2. I then stumbled on this thread. NL had always been my go-to for info on travelling, my birthing trips to the US were successful partly thru 1st hand info on NL, I never used an agent for my trips. So when I saw that we can enter Canada legally without going to overstay in US on our B1/B2 visa as suggested to us by some folks, I started digging in. Coincidentally a friend turned Sis who I met on my 1st birthing trip to US, was about leaving for Canada and needed help with booking their AirBnB apartment with my dollar card. As if I needed a sign from God, that is how we started the journey o.

In short, I heard about Express entry for the 1st time in March 2018 and I saw that we were eligible.

IELTS:
With the CRS tool, we realized that hubby did not need to take the test. So I registered in April for the May 12th exam MOD IDP. I was still on maternity leave, so I had time to prepare, about 6 weeks for the exam.
As I had earlier posted, I used Baron for reading and writing. Also watched ieltsliz online for reading tips and writing. E2 Language with jay for speaking and writing. Listening was more on ieltsessential website and Baron. So IELTS result - LRWS - 8.5/9/7/8.5. First and only attempt and I am soo grateful for the tips I got on this forum. @smslive2, sent me the link to the 1st set of IELTS materials I got, thank you sir.

Some will recall the 12th May 2018 test conducted by MOD at Ogudu, it was a “bad day devil drink water”. My experience on the test day with MOD at its Lagos mainland centre was terrible but it ended in praise.

ECA:
Hubby and I are both lawyers and both have Masters from the same schools, so we resorted to WES. Applied with WES early April 2018 and got my ECA report – 11 June 2018, Hubby – 21 June 2018.
Little snag with hubby, WES in the process of evaluation requested for IJMB transcripts. We had to remove hubby's LLB from evaluation due to the incomplete transcript issue from Unilorin because he got admission with IJMB into 200 level and I didn't see any headway with getting IJMB transcripts. Thanks @fyorgn, for your response then.

POOL/ITA:
We created a profile on 22 June 2018 and got ITA 25 June 2018 with CRS at 451.

POF:
Gift Deed for 100% of POF deposited to my account 2 days before submission (AOR) by hubby. I also submitted letter from pension PFA and Pension statement. The pension was additional, as the gift deed alone covered the POF for family of 5. In submitting POF, I did a LOE with a table analyzing the attached documents and the page numbers. Attached documents were gift deed, transfer slip, bank statement, reference letter from PFA, Pension statement, reference letter and non-indebtedness letter from bank and screenshot of exchange rate from xe.com.

3 months post-AOR, I moved funds to T.bills and raised a CSE, uploading the evidence of POF and a LOE stating that I had moved my POF to t.bills but that it was still accessible. The initial 3months, was rolled over for another 3 months, thanks to the silence from AVO.

JOB REFERENCE:
I have worked with the same organization from 2013 to date, so I got just 1 letter and it was pretty easy. My office has a standard letter for Canada (it appears they have written for quite a few of us, lol). I attached 6 months payslip.

Hubby also submitted 2 reference letters, 1 from his previous employer and 1 from his current employer. He runs his own firm but got a Partner in his firm to write the reference letter.

MEDICALS:
Medicals done at Children’s practice. Nothing eventful, but I had to book ahead – about 3 weeks away.

PCC:
Obtained at Alagbon, 8k for both of us, cant recall the Inspector but not popular Moshood. we were done within 30 minutes.

POST AOR: The real gist grin
I joined like 3 groups for July AOR, one had a lot of Indians. When Pple started getting PPR all around and nothing was happening, I raised a CSE on the status of my application in Oct and I got to know that my file was at Accra, that day I cried. I was sad and depressed. I left all Canada-related whatsapp groups except the one for lawyers. For a long time I didn’t want to join the AVO group, when I eventually joined in Nov 2018, the stories were gloomy, no one had heard from AVO in months. I just knew it that village people were at work, lol.

Surprisingly, the AVO whatsapp group that I didn’t want to join became a beam of light to me. Talk of men and women of faith, I met them all, sharing hope. We were all told that Accra works only between Jan – March, so we were all hopeful for 2019 1st quarter.

Jan 2019 came and we were all hopeful, emails started trickling in, some interview, some ADR, then PPR small small, lol, like 2 or 3 per week or so. Jan ended and just less than 10% of the group had gotten PPR or interview dates. Feb came and we got some again then ADR rained in late Feb for quite a lot of us, you will hear ‘famous 5’ ADR.

I also got ADR on 25 Feb 2019 and I jumped for joy, one will think that we had gotten PPR. But in AVO, any news is good news for us and one person’s PPR or ADR is for us all to rejoice about. The following weekend, we went to retake our passport at Studio 24, thinking that PPR will come shortly after.

Lo and behold, March ended and it was complete silence from AVO.

I mailed Ralph in early Feb 2019 and he said Eligibility, criminality and security checks have not been initiated and that they cannot be expedited and timelines are not available. I just resorted to God. I read this thread daily and when I see PPR posts and I look at their timelines, I say a silent prayer to God to remember me and not put me to shame, Jehovah answered my prayers.

Back to the AVO whatsapp group, we had prayer and praise sessions via conference call, and I must confess, I felt lighter after those sessions with assurances that God had not forgotten or forsaken us at AVO.

On 29 March 2019, I requested for another GCMS notes, when Ralph refused to reply me again. Meanwhile folks on the group were getting updates from Ralph such as Eligibility passed, criminality and security not yet started etc. I raised another CSE on 30 March 2019 and got a response on 2 April 2019 that my eligibility was under review. Ralph later replied on 3 April 2019 that I should contact him in May 2019, meaning that He wont provide any update on my file until 3 months after the last update he sent to me. I just resorted to my faith – He will never leave me nor forsake me.

Did i mention that my 1st GCMS note was all good, no cause for alarm, and yet I was sent to AVO, not because my application had K leg but because AVO is also a VO.........

PPR:
I do check my profile anytime there is an update on the group. No profile update, no ghost update nothing. Then folks started posting PPR on the group at about 10 am or so today again, same as yesterday, we got about 4 PPR. I was not at work, been travelling lately and wanted to stay indoors today. Later decided to go to the Cinema with my 1st daughter, since she was also at home. When the 4th person announced PPR on the group today, I said a silent prayer again that God should remember me. I was not concentrating on the movie because it was cartoon.
Brethren, I immediately got an email to check my profile. Tears started dropping from my eyes, thank God the Cinema hall was dark. I opened my profile on my phone to see a request letter, thinking it was another ADR, I downloaded to see the PPR. Praise the Lordddddddddddddddddd.
After 8 months and 8 days, it has ended in praise.

I want to thank everyone for the selfless contributions to the thread. The information on this thread is massive, even though I joined in maybe part 3 or 4 not sure anymore.

Did I say that we didn’t finish the movie, lol. My daughter couldn’t understand the emergency that made mummy run like that.

The ND statement of result I sent to WES is not so clear but later I now found another one that I kept hidden somewhere and that one is very clear, WES just message me now that verification has been sent to my school, my question is in that case it means the none so clear one has been accepted right? Cos it has been given me some kind of concern thanks

Don't be concerned. WES already notified your school to verify, this means it was accepted by WES.
