Kos is a natural defender who reads the game well and doesn't need to gragralize his disposition to the game to be noticed.I make bold to say he's better than Squill.I just need him to bulk up and he will be a great partner to Verm.

That said,Szcesny is a vocal keeper and i like that.

Great goal by Bendtner but Theo finishes were top notch.

I hope the lads will not have their head high in the sky still and dish out to West ham appropriately.

I must say, Koscielny is an utterly excellent one on one defender. . . What they said in France about him never losing a single battle last season must be true!

Walcott has now scored 6 goals in his 3 starts this season!

He should be playing off another striker. . . Before Wenger adopted this formation, we've seen him tear defenses apart in the Carling Cup with consummate ease. His ability is not in question here, he's got loads of it.

Let's just hope he doesnt go the Eduardo way.

We would not hav been able to access fabianski and szency if God has not takg out our imposd no1 goal keeper.

I agree and i feel having a consistent run of games(which i doubt he can ever have with us) will bring his confidence and mojo back.

Compare this to two years ago when I told Kit about the boy's ability. . .what difference a few years make, plus the departure of Mumubayor.

Sounds like it was a decent performance overall. . . .other commitments prevented me from watching the game. Good to see Theo scoring again and even better to get another clean sheet despite a very different defence.

Will try to watch the full game and get a better idea of the performance.

Omo I missed the match as I dey work, but gosh e be like say we were on point from the "match of the day (league cup)" highlights I watched on BBC last night.


It is good to see that the visions of Arsene may start to bear fruit now, and this year may be that year that we actually win something. I mean, with the big names out of the competition, we have the chance to take this one all the way.    If we meet Man U for next round and AF fields his own "weak team" against our "weak team" I am confident that we may win.

It was good to see Sczerny (how the heck do you spell his name?) commanding his back four, beaming with confidence and plenty of presence.  That makes a change for once at Arsenal.

It may be worth pointing out that some of our attacking options - Bendtner, Walcot, Nasir, Wilshere are starting to burn with fire now. I have a feeling Wenger will be having a selection headache of whom to pick. That is an headache I pray it do not go away for a long time.

It is only two games, but shey na me or Bendtner don improve with him finishing?  


Oh, a quick observation though, we still need to be more clinical and not waste chances.

Good win yesterday, against 11 men (For all those looking for excuses),

The bar codes came out swinging sha but we did well, at the moment we seem to have it all, goals, luck, decisions going for us and all. Signs of a good season ahead.

Walcott was FIRE, really seems to have improved his finishing, i'm expecting more displays of this nature from him this season.
Feel sorry for Gibbs as he has played better than Clichy everytime i watched him this season.

Nik looks like he's improved as well, so good to see a lot of players in good form, that way if one persons form takes a dip, the rest can make up for him.

It's been a while since we had a team of this nature, we can comfortably field 2 decent starting 11's. That talk of not having squad depth seems to be a thing of the past. We've coped well with the injuries we've had so far, didn't think i would ever be saying we don't miss RVP too much. There seems to be competition for every position apart from oga CF4.

In all it was a good performance by the boys, bring on the hammers

Our midfield wasn't too good to be honest. I had hoped Rosicky's presence would at least bring in some sanity but it now seems to me now that without Cesc and/or Nasri or maybe Wishere, we can't have some creativity in the midfield? Anyways, good enough, at least we have those three players to choose from.

Defensively, Kos again showed that physically he may not be up to it but in terms of intelligence, the guy has got it. He made some interceptions last night that top defenders will be proud of. As for Djorou, Il still give him benefit of doubt considering he is just back from a long lay off. He performed averagely well too.

Upfront, hmmm. Niklaaas is all I can say. He sure got class. Fingers crossed but at least for the first time in a long time, we can say we've got options to choose from. Chamakh does not need to play all the games now that Bendtner is back and RVP will be back soon.

I don't want to say too much about JET but I think even AW is scared of using the guy cos if that guy has 45 mins of top class football, Im not sure anyone in that team will bench him (now this is not overhype. The guy is good). Even in the five minutes he had yesterday, he would have scored a goal if only Theo was in the same frequency with him. Replace Theo with Cesc or Wilshere and he would have got a 1 - 2 pass back to give him an all clear on goal. And did anyone see when he tried to dribble the entire Newcastle defence and only lost to the last man?

AW, what you waiting for? Give him 45 mins, ok, 30 mins, let's see what he is made of!
