I am saddened by this news, this is a very sad news indeed. Subair was one of my lectures back in the days at the department of mathematics UI. He was very hard working, very brilliant and very strict. I think he thought algebra if my memory serves me right. He even married one of my course mates! He was her supervisor and the next thing we knew, he was her fiancé!! I remember thinking in 2002 that this guy had a very bright future in his line of work because he was simply very brilliant. In saner clime, he would have become a professor by now. But a musician sang"This is Nigeria, look how we're living now... ".
What a waste of talent!!

God bless you, he thought me 211 and 212 Abstract and Linear Algebra. Even though i didnt do too well, i cant blame him for my scores, he was one of the best things to ever happen to that department apart from the old guys
