AFRICA'S STAR-STUDDED MOVIE WITH OVER 400 CASTS TO BE SHOT IN AKWA IBOM

Rupees International Limited, a popular movie production industry in African continent is set to release a blockbuster movie that will showcase the rich cultural heritage of Africa.

The movie titled "Our Pride", is expected to feature Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Gambia, Ghana, Togo and other African countries will be shot in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Capital and other South South States in the Africa's most populous country.

Addressing a press conference in Uyo, Saturday, one of the Directors of the movie, Amb. (Prince) Chinemerem Uche Nwabuisi, hinted that, the movie seeks to showcase the uniqueness of Africans.

"It is a movie that will feature actors from five African countries. The movie titled 'Our Pride' is a story of the beautiful Africa which has not been explicated. The movie will showcase the pride of Africa and African Child which is what make them unique." he said.

According to Amb Uche, "'Our Pride' will also display African cultures, traditions and ceremonies; the raw talent, culture and heritage posses by Africans."

On why Akwa Ibom was chosen as the location, Prince Uche who was flanked by other members of the crew, including Amb. David Albert Amaechi - CEO, Rupees movies Int'l Ltd., Humble Akpan, Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), Prince Collins - a Director from Liberia and a Nollywood star; Precious Obot, said, the entertainment sector of the state is not only growing fast but that the oil rich State has a good number of dedicated actors.

"We in the industry have seen a massive number of dedicated actors and a lot of good movies produced in Akwa Ibom. So we needed a place where we can have dedicated actors and topnotch production", the Director hinted.

He further disclosed that "Our counterparts in Sierra Leone, Liberia and other African countries have deep love for Akwa Ibom's costumes and culture."

Prince Uche assured that the movie which will absorb over four hundred (400) casts will have 90 per cent from Akwa Ibom, soliciting maximum support and corporation from indigenes of the State.

Meanwhile "Our pride" will have its premiere in cinemas across Africa early July this year.
