It's been ages I posted something on nairaland but I have to ask you, if it was one of your own that she took her life, what would you say or do? You sympathize with her family, right? She killed a woman with 3 kids. After investigation into the crime, it was determined with convincing evidence that she did commit murder, so why the sentiments? Should laws be amended because of empathy for one? Have you imagined growing up without a mother? If I took your mother from you at a tender age, do you know what impact it would've had on your life? You must not comment na what are you defending? If you know how difficult it is for a sane person to hit someone then you will know it takes a demon to stab another.

Im happy the judge was a woman. This should serve as lesson to the upcoming fighters.

She killed during a fight, really! What type of fight was that? She picked up a knife and stabbed a mother of three to death and that was a fight in a your little mind. You're sick and I'm happy to tell you that.

Nigeria really needs to review its capital punishment laws.

Was the death of her neighbour pre-meditated (planned) or an accident, resulting from a fight?

In the very worst case, the courts should have seen this as manslaughter and apportioned appropriate prison sentence. Death sentence is simply overkill and serves no purpose. It won't stop fights between neighbours or accidental deaths resulting from these fights.

This is a case of manslaughter! Not murder!! Check the difference!! I'm sure if this case is appealed and other lawyers look into it, they'll see reasons to tamper justice with mercy.
