AFTER JAMB, WHAT NEXT? By BALOGUN M.A.O (PLATO) …After the release of the 2019/20 UTME results, A lot of students have been bewildered and troubled by their results rolled out by JAMB yesterday, Many think gaining admission into the University is all about marks/scores, Many a student who are used to me know that I say the painful truth rather than beautiful lies. Admissions into most competitive schools are not score based. I’m not writing based on what I don’t know, but rather on field research and experiences. Listen to me carefully, If you do the things we are about to outline here, You’ll gain admission this year, If you don’t do them, you might likely not gain admission. It’s not a mere speculation but a fact. This year, Exactly 1.99 million candidates have applied through JAMB and just about 750,000 candidates will be considered into Nigerian tertiary institutions. What this portends is that about 1.3 Million candidates will go back home and sit for JAMB next year and that’s more clear with the statistics released by JAMB yesterday which shows that over 1 million candidates scored below 180. It’s usually believed that your admission is secured once you score 200 and above in the UTME. This is not true, Every year, many candidates who score 200 and above still end up not gaining admission while candidates who score 200 below end up gaining admission. So, scoring 200 and above does not automatically qualify you for admission or secure a seat for you. Conversely, scoring below 200 does not automatically secure your admission too, Bear in mind that a step in the UTME is always a stepping stone. To gain admission into any of the tertiary institutions this year, You’re advised to do the following; First, Check out for the least JAMB score you’re requires to obtain before you’re qualified for admission into the institution and the least score you can have before you are expected to obtain before you can qualify to be admitted for the course of choice. You can equally ask us about that, you’ll be guided accordingly. If your JAMB score is not enough to fit you in, then you decide a change of institution/course. Kindly bear in mind that the course you’re changing to must be in line with your UTME subject combination and that the institution you are changing to will accept your score. There are Universities who have tendencies of raising their cut off, Ask us and we will tell you. Furthermore, Get your institution Post UTME Questions and start practicing and get yourself familiarized with the method your institution adopt in screening her candidates, Whether Computer Based Test, Online Screening, Physical Screening etc. This will really assist you and help you prepare well. The most important thing is to be Informed, Over the years, We observed that many candidates are not usually informed about the release of their institution Post UTME forms, In fact, some candidates get to be aware of the Post UTME forms late and many are usually unaware which they will be left with no option than waiting till next year. If you’re not informed, You’ll be deformed. Make sure you get yourself acquaint with daily reports that comes from TEAM PLATO REPORTS ( www.teamplato.com ). Don’t waste this year by not getting informed again, stay glued to any of our reporters for necessary updates. In addition, You can only pass Post UTME by reading what is right. Candidates tend to focus their attention on archaic past questions and therefore not read beyond the Past Questions. Most competitive Universities like University of Ilorin, University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, Obafemi Awolowo University and more does not recycle questions again, what they do is rebrand Questions, change the scope and style and distract the candidates with unexpected questions. We know and understand how best all these are being done. Let’s just drop the pen here for now. Don’t let Post UTME send you back home this year. Reach us on 08060948531 and be well guided today. 2 Likes

Teryfik: I greet you boss! My caps is reading 'Admission in Progress, check back later'. Though my school of choice has not released her admission list for now. Pls what does that mean? Meanwhile, most candidates caps are displayed 'Not Admitted' for the same school. I'm so worried at the moment. I need valid explanations. Thanks |

SeekingHelp:There is no cause for panic, it simply means you are being considered for admission by your desired institution and you have 80% chance if not 100% chance of being admitted. just keep checking your CAPS on a regular basis to either accept admission or reject admission. Best wishes. |
