The lack of fruitful fellowship is likely the result of the suicide. Most churches lack fellowship to say the least. Fellowship is the sole vine of a living Church not all the public display of disception in the mindst of overwhelming increase of depression.

U don't even know why the guy committed suicide. You were not there. U didn't read d suicide note. Yet just looking for anyone to blame. So anybody that their church doesn't pay rent for them should ho and commit suicide Pls think before u talk
Re: Michael Arowosaiye Suicide: Femi Fani-kayode Reacts To Death Of RCCG Minister by Brightest04(m): 8:58am On May 16, 2019
...The truth is that these so called big churches don't care about anything that can't advertise them and bring in more profits in tithes.
This guy that was unable to pay his house rent definitely he couldn't have been able to pay tithes. And since he was not able to pay tithes no financial help for him from the church.
Soon you will hear the church coming out to deny the guy as their member.

And why does everyone automatically assume he killed himself only because of house rent issue? What kind of simple mindedness is this?

"simple mindedness" is the most infectious disease in Nigeria!

Just imagine that!

NigeriaIsDoomed:
Not only Rccg but most of them, there is a church known as Faith Tabernacle Congregation whose Hqtrs is in Philadephia, USA and the members don't take drug.
In that church, the leaders feed fat like Nigerian politicians while the junior pastors die in penury. They could transfer a pastor to a place where there are no members with no provision for the pastor's welfare, if he complains they will instruct him to exercise faith.
I think religion in Nigeria is a scam, the simple and basic commandment of the holy book, that you should love your neighbour as you love yourself is a herculean task for most churches to adhere to.
No doubt the government has failed but should the church also scam her own?
Egomamiac, excessive greed and materialism have reduced the modern day church to a mere trash.
Religion in Nigeria is a hoax!

Church has failed in all ramifications. They have failed in morality by approving gay, they failed financially by forcing members to pay tithe or other money to pastor while the church owner will be living like king the members who contributed the money will be dying of hunger like this case on hand. They failed soCally by encouraging thievery thru they greediness

For him to not have his financial issues sorted out by his church proves again that these "self proclaiming" men/women of God are ruthless businessmen who are playing the numbers game of the multiplier effect of tithes and offerings with no atom of humanity left in them. Whilst they strut their loot around the globe in private jets, majority of their members who fund their extra lavish lifestyles are living like church rats in abject penury but suffering and smiling.

FFK has been against RCCG of late, simply because he perceived Pastor Adeboye is not against the righteous government of Buhari-Osinbajo... FFK shame unto you and your cohorts...
Re: Michael Arowosaiye Suicide: Femi Fani-kayode Reacts To Death Of RCCG Minister by Kokoebapluse(m): 9:01am On May 16, 2019
grin why because our pastor want to buy private jet and latest cars. So we don't have budget to pay any body house rent now.

But wait oooo. The guy kill himself because of house rent? What a lazy youth? Why can't you start your own business line ( church) or find other things and do?

Well that is not part of my business. When we all get there we'll explain more. Judgment day eyes go see and clearw

It's too early to be dense... You hate FFK doesn't mean you deliberately try to confuse truth for blab. RCCG's negligence for the welfare of her ministers is well known and founded.

Most of their pastors and ministers are poorly remunerated... A lot of parishes struggle and beg to even pay rents, and can barely afford to cater to the welfare of their workers and ministers (which a church is supposed to do).

We can pretend all we want but this is not the model the apostles set up after Christ left them in charge: The church flourished mainly because everyone's need was properly taken into cognizance... Feeding the hungry, and clothing the naked took precedence over setting up buildings of worship.

How many suicides (not talking suicide bombings) do you hear of in other religions? The 21st century church has greatly strayed, and terribly misplaced her priorities. undecided

Re: Michael Arowosaiye Suicide: Femi Fani-kayode Reacts To Death Of RCCG Minister by Psoul(m): 9:05am On May 16, 2019
The church may not be aware of the situation. Most of these so called young pastors in most of the Pentecostal churches tend to leave fake life. Living to influence their members that all is well wt them. I have seen a lot of them that way. He may have bn battling this depression on his own for long not trying to open up so that ppl will not say "I think you are serving God, why is he not providing for you" or they may say to him, "Pastor, you preached to us that u lack nothing since u have started worshiping God"

With all due respect, this young boy lacked the true knowledge of Christ in him. He was not really grounded in the word of God.
Depression is real and wen it comes, the most viable option that comes to head is death.
With the wisdom of God in u, you will see that death is satanic option. Another thing is when you have a very good home upbringing, you may thought of suicide but will never have the mind to carry it out. The good home upbringing in you will always deter you.

I have bn there couple of times. Suicide flourishes when one lacks good home upbringing and lack of God's consciousness in one's life.

RIP to the young Pastor.

Jesus cared for his followers, he fed them and catered for them.
Do churches still care about their members? Just look up to God. He alone has all answers.

He didn't have money to pay rent? Hope he wasn't living in a house way above his income? That's why we say people should get a job. Being a pastor is not a job.

Well maybe he should have used offering and tithe money to pay his rent.
