If the rent is paid, what money will be used to build more branches and service the private jet?

THE RESULT OF LIVING A FAKE LIFE AND MAINTAINING A FAKE IMAGE AND LIFESTYLE AND HIM CARING ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE WILL SAY ABOUT HIS SITUATION.

NOT HAVING MONEY TO PAY RENT AND BEING HOMELESS IS JUST A PHASE MOST PEOPLE FACE AT ANY POINT IN THEIR LIVES EVEN HERE ABROAD.

SO MANY QUESTIONS ARISES. WAS THERE NO FRIEND OR ANYBODY THAT WAS WILLING TO ACCOMODATE HIM TILL HE GOT BACK ON HIS FEET?

WAS THE CHURCH COMMITEE AWARE OF HIS SITUATION?

IS THERE A WRITTEN OR VERBAL AGREEMENT THAT STATES THAT RCCG IS LIABLE FOR PROVIDING HIM ACCOMODATION AND GIVING HIM MONEY WHENEVER HE WAS IN NEED?

HAS HE BEEN COLLECTING MONEY FROM PEOPLE FOR RENT AND USING IT TO FVCK CHURCH GIRLS AND SHOOTING HIS HOT CUM IN THEIR MOUTHS?

HAS HE BEEN BEGGING AND DEPENDING ON PEOPLE IN THE PAST FOR MONEY AND USING IT TO FRONT?

WAS HE A VICTIM OF 419 BY YAHOO BOYZ?

DID YAHOO BOYZ USE HIS PANT FOR MONEY RITUALS AND COLLECTED HIS DESTINY?

AS HE WAS BRAVE ENOUGH TO COMMIT SUICIDE, WHY WASN'T HE BRAVE ENOUGH TO COME ON SOCIAL MEDIA TO BEG FOR MONEY?

WHY DIDN'T HE TRUST THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST WHICH HE SANG ABOUT AND STAND FIRM ON THE PROMISES OF GOD THAT ALL THAT HE NEEDED THY HAND HATH PROVIDED?

How many needy members of RCCG do you think the church can really support? Must every Christian be a full time pastor? The earlier the youths who are employed pastors in these mega-churches realise that they are been used by the surper-rich GOs, the better for them. I have said repeatedly before, and l am saying it again, that only the rich GO's are "called by God" while they (GOs) "call" (employ) the enslaved pastors working under them. While the GO's claim to be possessing the wealth of the gentiles, the impoverished pastors under them are told to exercise faith for better tomorrow. I personally have no problems with the way church"s fund is managed because the names of the owners of the church is as stated on the certificate of incorporation issued by CAC. It's now left to me to know how to apply wisdom to follow the GO's.

Femi is right here. RCCG have no welfare package whatsoever for her pastors especially the so called part-time pastors. They are only interested on big projects, so sad RCCG is one Church I love to attend I also encourage others to do so but I can never advice even my enemy to be a pastor there
Pastor J.T kalejaiye is my uncle and a pastor there, so what's your point, by Gods grace every year ending he spends over 8million naira on welfare, and i know other pastors who do same, some of the pastors are lazy, take that to the bank, part-time pastor and you don't want to engage yourself in something resourceful.... naaaa go n work

I choose to view this differently. I ask where the place of the Holy Spirit in our believers is these days.

Jesus was clear to every believer John 16:33. Having the understanding of what tribulation and also the promise of the Holy Spirit as a COMFORTER is so assuring. John 14:26.

In my own Bible understanding, the least a believer can go is to have anxiety (anxious moment), after it is depression. And a depressed mind is a devils playground.

Jesus addresses anxiety in Mathew 6:27. Interestingly, He (Jesus) had his own anxious moment at Gethsemane in Mathew 26:36.39, but we saw how the event went, how Angels were sent to minister to him (strengthen Him). Philippians 4:6 also address Anxiety.

The least a believer should have is anxiety and like i said the Bible addressed it. Any believer that is depressed or having repeated depression should know that the mind is gone; it will take a whole lot to bring it back in line. It obviously means FEAR is ruling.

But the Bible says, God hasn't given us the spirit of fear, but of POWER, of LOVE and a SOUND MIND. One critical area devil always try to attack in believer is the mind; if he can get it then he can manipulate that believer for anything.

The connection between us and divinity is our FAITH, the opposite is fear and if we live in perpetual fear then we aren't even connected in the first instance.

Sadly there a whole lot of so called church-goers who doesn't have any relationship with God or are not in touch with God. The stories are abounding in our churches.

It is even unheard of that a so called believer is "depressed" because of house rent, when God still meet peoples need. Testimonies of these abound in our churches. I’m a living witness to this myself too.

For me, the biggest problem we have in church today is the lack of power. 2 Timothy 3:5 and that is huge. Interestingly, there are more tribulations to come.

Presently now, we Christian are facing economic persecution, but even at that, God has been faithful, He said the gate-of-hell shall not prevailed, not that they won’t try.

So if a so called commits suicide, then we might need to question the faith but more importantly, that should be a lesson to us all.1 Corinthians 10:12 is clear. For those who stand should continue to stand, examine oneself, and keep the Faith, get deeper in it.

May God help us in Jesus name.

This is sad and not worth it.

I have serious doubt on the accomodation issue that led to depression.
Most of us in this forum had serious accommodation issue one time or the other but this never caused depression rather we all saw this as a challenge

There is more than meets the eye and i wont limit it to a mere report.

My neighbor was supporting goodluck until buhari chose osibande as his running mate. Then, many redeemed members changed gear.
If you checked well, this man voted for buhari.
If he voted for buhari. It serves him well

I disagree. what if he didn't table his predicament b4 the church or other ministers?
what if he is one of those young guys constantly showing off what they don't have, hence when they need something that they supposedly have in abundance, they cannot consult others out of shame, nd to avoid such shame and ridicule,he took his own life.

There is no way he could have met with his church ministers and something won't come out. there is more to this story than meets the eye.

The truth is d death of this man really pained me that I'm solely thinking that this country is a big failed state.

Well this kind happening will nevertheless further makes me to keep boycotting the church. My take.

Angelfrost:

It's too early to be dense... You hate FFK doesn't mean you deliberately try to confuse truth for blab. RCCG's negligence for the welfare of her ministers is well known and founded.

Most of their pastors and ministers are poorly remunerated... A lot of parishes struggle and beg to even pay rents, and can barely afford to cater to the welfare of their workers and ministers (which a church is supposed to do).

We can pretend all we want but this is not the model the apostles set up after Christ left them in charge: The church flourished mainly because everyone's need was properly taken into cognizance... Feeding the hungry, and clothing the naked took precedence over setting up buildings of worship.

How many suicides (not talking suicide bombings) do you hear of in other religions? The 21st century church has greatly strayed, and terribly misplaced her priorities. undecided

"How many suicides (not talking suicide bombings) do you hear of in other religions?"
And how many have you heard of in Christianity?

What makes you think he committed suicide because he couldn't pay his rent?

Do you know if the church had, at one point or another, rendered financial assistance to him?

While I agree with you to a large extent that "this is not the model the apostles set up after Christ left them in charge...that the church flourished mainly because everyone's need was properly taken into cognizance and that the 21st century church has greatly strayed, and terribly misplaced her priorities," but do you know that what you called 'model' was abused? That made "theTwelve gathered all the disciples together and said, "It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables." (Acts 6:2). This tells you that the 'priority' of the Church is not to "serve tables" but "the ministry of the word of God."

but the church should have helped him with cheaper accommodation......he paid his tithes and offerings,right?....that's equivalent to tax too

the church will collect tithes and offerings from u and even celebrate u when u are a good financial contributor, but will ostracize u when are broke
Sure, but the church would never push one to do anything. He had immersed himself into the pastoral work that he can't fend for himself without the support of the church. That guy should be in his late twenties or early thirties and should have gotten something else doing if he see that the church can't fund his needs, rather than going ahead to commit suicide. My pastor in the church I attend rears fish and also has a couple of stores and he'll tell you that if tomorrow the church isn't there he can still feed himself and family. Paul in the bible was one of the greatest apostles but he was also a tent maker so that tomorrow if money doesn't come out of the church he would have somewhere to fall to. I believe there's more to his death than just the church meeting his accommodation needs

HE DID THAT JUST BECAUSE HE WAS SERVING ONE WHOM HE DOES NOT BELIEVE IN. TO BE A PASTOR IS NOT FOR MONEY, IT IS A SERVICE TO GOD FOR WHAT HE DID AND THE CALL HE PASSED TO YOU TO SERVE HIM. FOR HIM TO KILL HIMSELF PROVED HE IS NOT CALL BY GOD. EITHER LAZINESS OR HIS INORDINATE QUEST FOR EASY AND CHEAP MONEY ATTRACTED HIM TO BE CALLED A PASTOR. WHAT HAD HE SUFFERED THAT OTHERS ARE SUFFERING. PLEASE SHOULD READ THE BIBLE. PAUL THE APOSTLE WAS A TENT MAKER AND WITH HIS HANDS HE TOOK GOOD CARE OF HIMSELF AND OTHERS. HE SUFFERED GREATLY BEFORE HE WAS MURDERED BY THE ENEMIES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. HE IS NOT, HE WAS NOT AND HE WILL NEVER QUALIFY AS A GOD SENT PASTOR. IN DEEPER LIFE BIBLE CHURCH PASTORS USED THEIR MONEY FOR GOD'S SERVICE NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND; ONLY FEW WHO ARE IN FULL TIME MINISTRY AND MAY BE MOVED FROM ONE STATE TO OTHERS OR COUNTRY. WE WORK; WE ARE NOT PARASITES.

what exactly is the work of the church?is the pastor a government worker or church worker?

Shame on most clergy's, especially those with big churches competing for biggest auditorium, private jets, wearing designers pants, shoes, wristwatches, cufflinks, ties, rings & driving exotic cars with body guard's. Their judgement will be different from every other Christian, they do nothing but exploit others to live large.that is why most people don't believe in them anymore.only but a handful of them can help out.may God bless TB Joshua who never look at your faith,if you're a Christian or Muslim, if you're a Catholic or Pentecostal, he never look at if you're rich or poor everyone is equal before him just like we are before God. He has not special seats for the rich folks in his synagogue, whatever you're, its in your house. The moment you're in the synagogue you're one.I so respect this man that I wish every man of God emulate him.the reason why they call him devil's advocate here on earth, they tag him with all manners of things.
Am a Christian but I feel so ashamed of most of our Christian clergy's,brothers & sister's. Never encouraged someone to the kingdom. Its a shame.especially this redeem church, they exploit there pastors a lot. Redeem is a business venture not what it is call led or seems to be.they recognized you only if you're rich.
