That is a beauty to behold. We hope they make use of it and there should be properly monitoring of the use so it won't be abused....

Two more parks are being constructed close by... The FG is said to be in court over land acquisition issues etc... Lets see how this goes. Every giant step starts with a single one

That will be great. With two more parks of the same size, the gridlock will be history.

I see someone saying “this is what they should’ve done”.

Nonsense. So government just woke up yesterday and said let’s put this park here to clear the gridlock and Gbam! We have this.

Is it not obvious that the government had been doing something about it for a long time co projects like this would’ve taken nothing less than 3years from initiation and design to this level.

Just like you didn’t know about this park same way you dont know about the one in east that is being delayed by the second Niger bridge.

That park is not too small when you factor in the kaduna dry port that is already functional and Ibadan dry port that is coming on board. Also the one in the east that is being delayed by the second Niger bridge plus the Warri port(which I read something positive about sometime ago)
Nice move from mr president.

why not make all the country's port functional

They have come again with their demands. There is an adage that says the hand of the giver is always ontop. First appreciate that good work. Be cultured. That said name one port that was functional before and not working again and I will educate you. Just name one that you know.

This park has been in built for long bt never used for unknown reasons. What’s the situation now cos I know it’s been built down for more that 6years.

Also are the dirty looking trailers going to be allowed to ruin the parks? They better have a way of maintaining the facility.

Wow, FG seems to be doing some wonderful developments in silence. My heart is always in my mouth whenever I go to the sea Port because of bad road , trucks and containers being parked all over the place while you have to penetrate with motorcycle which is scary.

The Truck park was constructed by Federal ministry of works. It has nothing to do with Ambode.

@OP, the truck park is a good initiative but it is too small to make a significant impact on the Apapa axis gridlock.

I read it has capacity to accommodate 3,500 trucks

I answered your question with a single line that “just like you didn’t know about this, there are other things going on that you didn’t know about”.

You, like most Nigerians don’t know much about the ports stories so it’s understandable.

I also don’t know much but because I once worked with a company that provided port security at our ports, I know some ports in the SS are functioning eg onne port, Warri port. It may not be to capacity due to some reasons but they are. The one in the east is not functioning because of the shallow waters that link the port to the Atlantic. The past federal governments has been making plans to dredge the river for a long time without doing anything but this particular government seem serious about it. The only thing delaying it is the construction going on the second Niger bridge.
