it has not yet started,
it was only announced but it is a good one but bad for people that like to use uncle, brother , company , inlaw or aunty as sponsor

hello!!
Please I need clarifications, I got an admission for a post graduate diploma in january but i'm yet to start visa processing, I also have an active express entry profile i recently just opened(about 2 weeks ago) Now my question is can this express entry profile be a problem to me getting my study visa when i apply?
Please i really need clarification..
You have the right to dual intent according to IRCC, this means that you can have an active express entry profile and still apply for a study permit. In My case I had and still have an active express entry profile and still got approval. All the best

Please I just have 2 questions
In my LOE or SOP, which address would I write it to
I hVe a brother who’s a permanent resident in Canada and he’s a co-sponsor is that a good thing or the Vo will think I want to leave the country like he did?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by wealth360: 3:13pm On Mar 09, 2020
No. It's called dual intent. They are independent of each other. In addition, you are just in the pool not that you have been invited to apply? Just go ahead with your SP application.

I applied to Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia but I have declined their offer since it was partial funding I was given unlike full funding i have in University of Saskatchewan and Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Hello, how did you apply to the university of Saskatchewan, I’ve been trying to apply to their Engineering program, and after filling the pre qualification form, I’ve been rejected like 5times now.

Hello brotherly, kindly look into this. Wifey has Bachelor of Arts in English language (3rd class) in 2014 and a Post graduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism (Upper Credit) in 2016. She has been working as a journalist from 2017 till present.

Can she go ahead and apply for masters in journalism?

I would have reasoned she applies for a 2 yr post graduate diploma in journalism but I have been reading that it’s a bit tricky to convince visa officers when pursuing a lesser/same academic qualification in canada.

Pls what do u suggest?

@frankrobbn1 I like you to help with my study his application in canada. Last year I got a refusal and was kind of discouraged. Cancelled my offer at Conestoga College.

I however feel that my application was not well handled despite paying an Agent.

I need your help now that I am considering pursuing another programme this time in University of Manitoba.

I will appreciate your response bro.

Thanks.

Good day house. In my admission letter it is termed conditional admission letter cos I need to send my degree certificate nd transcript nd the deadline for that is December 1. Can I apply for my visa with the conditional admission letter or I need to send in my transcript first so as to get the unconditional admission letter.

It is called DUAL INTENT to apply for two visa categories (Study and Express entry) so you can definitely work with that

No you cannot apply unless stated otherwise. You need a a LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE from the school. This is issued when you meet the conditions of your conditional admission letter.

So many things count as home ties;
1. Family
2. Investment in home country
3. Religious ties and charity contributions
4. A relative in Canada
5. Wife and kids in Nigeria***
6. Secured job in Nigeria
7. Ongoing projects in Nigeria
8.

Good day all , I submitted my application on 24 Feb , since then I have been getting updates on the phone number that I used from the vfs office. And last week Monday I got a message saying that I should come and pick up the passport from the visa application center. I went there on Thursday and they told me that . My passport wasn't ready.

Please I need help analysing this situation. Does it mean that a decision has been made?
Has anyone had this kind of experience?

Please I need a reply from the gurus

Hi all.

Do I need an UNCONDITIONAL OFFER OF ADMISSION to apply for certificate of acceptance (CAQ) in Quebec? I currently have a conditional admission and my transcripts are not yet completely delivered. Do I have to wait until I get the conditions of my offer fulfilled or that only apply to TRV/SP?

Thanks in advance.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Lekan45: 10:57pm On Mar 09, 2020
Hey guys, great job being done with the information shared. It helps a great deal.

I had hoped that I'd share a positive outcome for our application but things didn't go as anticipated.

My wife got a scholarship by a government official with comprehensive details of the funding.

She applied for a PGD in business management, she studied accounting and education. Admission secured, letter of acceptance uploaded. First semester tuition was even paid.

We have a daughter. Less than 4 years.

I have in my account 1.6m and a cash inflow of 1.9m in 3+ months.

We both work for a state government and I have sufficient ties.

I submitted close to 8 different documents displaying my ties to my home community ranging from employment letters, landed properties and estate management deed, two other businesses I am engaged in, letters from two strong traditional rulers with internet presence, a leave of absence from work...

No criminal record.

In our letters, we stated our short term goals, long term goals, expectations upon our return to contribute to the community as per the scholarship. We stated why she chose that course, why I need to go with them, what I know and what experience I could probably bring back to Nigeria to help develop my community.

She applied for study permit, I applied for spousal open work permit, and our girl for a visitor visa.

Our application was submitted on 15th of January, Biometrics done and updated on 21st January, a ghost update on 26th of Feb and shockingly, 7 weeks (9th March 2020) after biometrics, we were sent a BVL.

From the information shared on this platform so far, applications that go as far as 7 weeks and a ghost update have got a good chance, as a matter of fact, good as done. We are still processing what could have gone wrong..

We are waiting for our refusal letter... Contemplating if we should reapply, appeal or just focus on making the best out of what we have here. That scholarship opportunity may never come again.

What should we do

PS: Our application was verified and vetted by a former Visa Officer (not Canadian) before we applied.

I feel you. No one thing is no Canadian university accept 2.2 for any course. So this is no exception for law graduates. Another issue with canadian schools offering llm is that, they are very few offering law generally. They have about 15 or thereabout, which makes the competition tight for limited slot. So other than having a 2.1 you must be very qualified to be offered admission.
Dont bother looking for a low ranking school for llm. Once you dont have 2.1, there is no point
Unless you going for another course of study entirely.

At the same time university is still a no no for masters if you finished with 2.2

Read through the thread i guess to see where you fit

Thank you
Nawa o. Really?

So what's the fate of 2.2 graduates who wants to study in Canada. There has to be a way.

We were referring to Law graduates. Others can always do a PGD/PGC.
