Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State on Sunday went to the memorial service of 25 people killed by highwaymen in a new assault which happened on Saturday in three networks in Rabah nearby government territory of the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Tambuwal together with heads of security offices, customary rulers and government authorities later mourned groups of the unfortunate casualties after the funeral held at Gandi town.

NAN accumulated that the marauders had in huge numbers, attacked Kalhu, Tsage and Geeri towns close Gandi and slaughtered 25 people. The aggressors were said to have occupied with indiscriminate shooting from around 5 pm on Saturday till Sunday morning, after which they trucked away several dairy animals, sheep, and different assets.

Rabah has been encountering highwaymen's assaults in ongoing time, with individuals losing their lives while numerous other people who were rendered destitute currently taking asylum at an Internally Displaced person camp in Gandi.
