One thing that always struck me was the good roads. Even with the landmass of the state, You could drive for two hours from one town to another without seeing pot holes and yet most people there didn’t own cars so the roads were largely empty but for taxis and buses with passengers.

NYSC experience without no mention of sex, we are kind of disappointed in you op . You’ve got to fuuuck as much as possible during NYSC.

I was in jss3 when my brother share his experience with me. He served in a village in calabar. There was a story of copers night where sex flows, there was a story of him fuckinggg a community leader woman then her 2 daughters needed help with mathematics and he hammered them, then another story of a girl who was cheating on a boyfriend, shocking end to the story she sneaked out on her wedding night to fuuuck ma brother ! Got my own story but not near my brothers own .
Bleep a Hausa girl in jigawa !!! U WILL BE bleeped

I camped in Gumel, that was in 2016 Nov. They said the population of that set was much, so they had two camps for that set. Jigawa is such a nice place. Though I didn't like the weather. I enjoyed my service year

You’re right about the weather. It’s two extremes at certain times of the year. Winter jackets, head warmers and gloves in the mornings and nights and then it gets really hot during the day. And then other parts of the year you have to deal with sandstorms.

Plateau is not core North. There are still elements of civilization there.

Lol I'm from Abia state so I have a taste of the north and south. We have vices in South. They have gross illiteracy and poverty in the north. That is the summary of Nigeria Las las

face it there's no life in Jigawa state. It's like you're truly in a different world. I lived and was born and still living in the north. Don't overrate or exaggerate.
don't mind them , I left hadieja for Christmas break , and my apartment was burgled before I resumed , the worst part of the incidence was that , the thief left the ladder on my fence facing the next compound , they lifted beds and flat screen televisions , and non of my neighbours saw them ,, even the police cud not search the next compound .

I noticed also. It will shock you that the road was repaired in 2009. Their roads are good. Nothing really much of commercial is going on. But down south. Dangote will bleep our roads tire.

One of the reason why I'm reluctant to leave Jigawa state. Criminal activities is at the minimum, I can walk around 12 midnight without boys attacking me. I served in Dutse, I love Birini kudu tho it's more lively than Dutse.

Yeah. Karduna is worst in burglary. No part of Nigeria is perfect. Every region has its flaws.

Hausas have more opportunities than southerners. Employment is given to them at grasp. Because most of them are actively in politics.

Perhaps, before I begin, I'd love to point out that this is solely the author's experience clothed in vocabulary which could be subject to criticism by some persons who had or are currently having a different experience.

Nevertheless, I'd appreciate it if you criticize constructively or better still open your own thread. I hope that didn't sound rude (I've seen wonderful threads on nairaland marred with criticism of the writers by miscreants who can't seem to comprehend anything). That being settled; I got a story to tell!

It was a bright morning, the sun was up from its slumber and oh my! how clear the sky was. I woke up as usual, did some house chores and proceeded to my school (UNIUYO) to print out my NYSC call-up letter. I wasn't really perturbed with what lay in store for me. However, something sinister happened. Trust me, it was one of the most shocking days of my life.

Truth be told, I had secretly nursed the idea of serving in the Northern part of Nigeria but I never envisaged being deployed to Jigawa State. No disrespect to the state, I just wasn't cut out for it at the time!
#To be continued#

YOUARE FUNNY.. YOU ARE HERE TALKINGOF ROBBERY WHAT OF SPADE OF KIDNAP,rape, cultism, robbery on your area..even with your English ,your people still prefer evil vices

North isvwry welcoming ,accommodating, generous what of your side? What of immoralities..guy please stick to ppa experience and stop static nonsense

Back when I served the state government was luring corpers to stay behind to teach in their schools. Pay was about 65k or 85k...don’t remember exactly now... and there was free accommodation. I know a number of ppl who decided to stayed back for a few years while some are still there with their families now.

Is that programme still on?

I love what their past govnor did, almost all streets hv street lights, Federal university of Dutse students always stay out to read all night under streetslight... I left my pc and phones charging in FUDand went for clearance and returned to find them there...

In uniuyo wherei attended i was charging my phone and left to copy a movie, only to return n not see my phone.

Vice in the norgh is very very low, and the cost of living too... I bought a goat for 5k at Laraba market.. Its just the heat and cold that spoil that place for me

Guy its not that ..its the fact that an hausa man sees another hausa man as broda and it matters not which side up north you are from.

Here we reserve jobs for our relatives and unborn children... There if u are from hausa and you are passionate about stayin then you will get it... Politics does not pay there as it does in the south,my councilor has more money than chairman of Hadejia in Jigawa
