Ruga will bring job to Nigeria. by Bossjakande: 7:37pm On Jul 04, 2019 |
All I See In RUGA Is Jobs: 1. RUGA will employ more than 5000 qualified vetinary doctors nationwide. 2. RUGA will employ more than 6000 including myself in the grass farming business. 3. Abattoir services around the RUGA States will employ another 3000 or more. 4. Pharmacy services for vetinary doctors around these RUGA States will employ additional 1000-2500. 5. Sanitary Inspections officers will be employed to control hygiene in the RUGA States. Maybe another 500-1000. 6. More 1000-2500 Quarantine officers will be needed to control, constrain, and contain movement of unhealthy or infected cows. 7. Milk and other diary products factory will employ more than 5000-10,000 factory hands. 8. Middlemen around the supply chain in the RUGA value chain can take upward of 50,000 people. 9. In Cross River State for example, RUGA States can buy rice seedlings from the seedling factory in Calabar to feed to cows. The factory can employ more than 1000-5000 people just taking others from RUGA States. Stupidity is when we close our minds to positivity. It is so sad that you people don't know how to lift yourselves from poverty mentality. If China, Switzerland, Ireland, Sweden, and Australia can do it, Nigeria can do too. 2 Likes 6 Shares |

The only reason why you stand with ruga is because you are a herdsman and you are a jihadist. Imagine giving out your father's land to strangers who are your enemy. 30 Likes 2 Shares |

budaatum:the first solution to all these is to subject these herdsmen to the law. They can't be grazing for free. They should pay tax to the respective states they graze their cattle. 3 Likes 1 Share |

lastmessenger:They do not currently graze for free. I am from the Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun where cattle herding is huge business so the chiefs collect money from the herders who must behave or we the people will revolt! When you complain to the chief that Fulani cattle ate your crops, the chief will only give you a part of the compensation he gets on your behalf. Even the cattle the fulani herdsman is herding belongs to the chief, in most instances. They are not forcing any religion on anyone nor are they kidnapping anyone. If they do, we will adopt a new Oro Cattle Eating Festival! Ranching will force herdsmen to stop moving cattle around spreading diseases and eating up poor farmer crops. It will make them taxable because we would know where their assets are and it would revolutionise the cattle business and wrest it from backward Fulani herdsmen who lack modern cattle rearing knowledge. We will also be able to monitor the quality of the meat we eat. Meat production is way too large an industry to neglect as we currently do considering the benefits, only some of which are laid out in the op. The entire industry needs to be revolutionised. 1 Like |

mightyhaze:"Nigeria" did not say no to Ruga! Only poor and illiterate Nigerians who have not bothered to fully study the Livestock Transformation Development Plan and show how ignorant they are by calling it Ruga to start with, have rejected it. Smart business inclined Nigerian leaders in the communities are clearing land and setting up their own ranches as we speak. |

I think anybody in support of Ruga can take these herdsmen to his/her village and give them land. He/she can enjoy the jobs and other benefits with his/her community. Me and my people say no to Ruga 6 Likes 1 Share |

lastmessenger:The Hausa have resided in the Orolu Kingdom for decades and have not been troublesome. These days, if Bintu does not tell you she is Hausa you would not be able to tell. They arrived when kolanut was in its heyday and never left. They are now major importers of maize and beans to the Orolu Kingdom, which they use as a depo for repackaging before sending it all over Nigeria. Ajokuta ma momi have taken over at Agunbalewo along the Osogbo-Ogbomoso Road. Their arrival and ability to do what we never did has spurred us on to compete with them by setting up our own shops next to theirs turning Agunbalewo into the Alaba Market of Osun State. Competition means we don't need to go and purchase electronics in Lagos anymore. The Orolu Kingdom is in Yorubaland and perhaps we are intelligent such that foreigners do not enter our land and scare us like them seem to do in your mind. When foreigners live in our Rome they become Romans. Nobody comes to dominate us in The Orolu Kingdom. |

mightyhaze:I agree. Nigerians must say no to what is being portrayed as Ruga. While I myself aspire to a thousand acre buda cattle ranch no modafuqa can acquire thousands of acres of Orolu Kingdom land and set up Ruga town. Its ridicule is way too ridiculous. I like how the spokesperson for Benue put the point across. Half way through he dumped the three ignorant presenters in their own stupidity. His sort should be heard and shared more. Priceless! budaatum: |
