This is Destined Boy – Online Marketing

Online Marketing is a finished structure that’s carried out with the intent of reaching out to a great number of people.

Gone are the days Nigerians depend on traditional or commercial media such as Television, newspapers, magazines, and radio for certain information or news.

Today, the internet has played a critical role in promoting informative news and content to these great audiences.

As the number of internet users in Nigeria increases, so as the level of engagement is rapidly growing.

Nigerian politicians must understand that the 2023 Election won’t be the same as in 2019.

A solid layout strategy into the campaign is an essential ingredient towards any outcome in the 2023 Election.

Leveraging in online marketing is to attract and drive more visitors to become potential voters.

Online Marketing Analysis
Online marketing is a widely practiced strategy of building multiple touchpoints and credibility for your voters.

The wise use of online marketing strategies can take a political campaign to an unprecedented level of success.

A political team needs to set a clear objective and strong political market understanding.

An American, Claire Miller said, One of the many ways that the election of Barack Obama as president has echoed that of John.F.Kennedy is his use of a new medium that will forever change politics.

Claire Miller

He said, for Mr.Kennedy it was television but for Mr.Obama, it is the internet.

Mr. Atiku knew the importance of social media marketing but not online marketing.

That was why a Nigerian man once said, An Election is not won on Twitter.

He’s right! Well, I don’t know the campaign team of Atiku but the campaign strategy was poor.

An American man said, “were it not for the internet, Barrack Obama would not be president”.

One of the major failures of Mr. Atiku political campaign was the inability to modified and organize his supporters in a way that resonate with their interests and desires.

The inability to make their campaign undergo a SWOT ANALYSIS really leads to their campaign failure.

Barack Obama was able to win every single state that matters, and he did it because he was able to move thousands to millions of people.

But, Mr. Atiku team was unable to make use of the Swot Analysis, i.e

Strength.

Weaknesses.

Opportunities.

Threats.

They focus more on their strengths rather than weaknesses. Their political campaign was a vision around their strong states rather than their weak states.

They weren’t bothered about the threats and opportunities.

Mr. Trippi argued that Barack Obama videos were more effective than television ads because viewers chose to watch them or received them from a friend instead of having television shows interrupted.

Listening, mobile has gained unprecedented importance in our lives, today, Nigerians can’t do without having their smartphones in their hands.

That’s why online marketing has become the latest trend to reach out to these great audiences.

Barack Obama wasn’t just a social activist or a mere talker but He was a political’ digital marketer specialist.

President Buhari campaign team in 2015 Election really did a fantastic job. The fruitful truth about President Buhari emergence as the president is the ability to understand the needs and value of the audiences.

They were able to resonate along with the interest and choice of the people. The campaign brand was so fascinating to the extent that everyone can feel the victory in the air before the election day.

The campaign team understands the desire of the people and quickly establishes a Unique Selling Point which differentiates them from other political parties.

They started building momentum and retarget their audiences who haven’t form an association with their touchpoints.

While the opposition parties were busy spending billions on television ads.

President Buhari was able to split his campaign multiple touchpoints’ sections into:

Trust

Value and Integrity

What he wants to offer Nigerians.

Relevant and Informative speech.

Facts that need to know.

Exceptional slag and promises.

Due to that, He was able to drive potential voters that eventually form an association and show their desires and interest in his political ambitions.

He generated 65% more leads than any opposition party.
