Babangida congratulates Uti
News Oct 19, 2010 Former President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida Monday congratulated Nigerian musician and actor, Uti Nwachukwu for winning the reality TV Show Big Brother Africa Season 5- The All Star Edition.

In a letter to Uti, Babangida described him as an exceeding entertainer, a patriot and a true reflection of the Nigerian spirit. The former President said, ‘ I appreciate you deeply for making us proud and for proving your skeptics wrong by achieving the impossible.’

The former President, who is also a Presidential aspirant in the 2011 elections, admonished Uti to remain fervent in his passion for entertainment. He described him as agreat source of inspiration to many Nigerian youths and a truly committed Nigerian who sang the National anthem to the world with verve and aplomb.

Attributing his success to patriotism, foresight, kindness and sincerity, Babangida said Uti deserves the prize and the support and respect of all contestants and also all Nigerians.
