I don't know what's wrong with these celebrities. Who are they really giving those advice to, cos the people looting are definitely not seeing your post talk more of being on social media.
I met a man yesterday at Lagos shop rite and I asked why the destruction, one man said South-Africans killed one xenophobic guy in their country and they are retaliating. Those who engage in such actitvities are hoodlums, ur advice won't help

Thank you.

Again, I wonder why our government has failed to condemn the heinous crimes going on in the name of reprisal attacks.

Loads of Nigerians have lost assets. While our FG is asking SA to compensate victims, who is going to compensate the owners of the shops looted in Lagos and those who have are daily losing businesses because they cant open shops!

Why are the leaders so slow in making moves?

They always wait for individuals and for opposition to speak before they make any statement.

My friend is in Thailand on Vacation with his partner.

He is a young, successful person.... He called last night complaining endlessly how Thai officials kept dragging them up and down over NDLEA certificate.

Who has experienced such in Thailand recently?

Honestly, i think the Nigerian govt is to be blamed, they allowed these attacks by south africans to linger on for years without making decisive decisions .

But i want to ask a serious question, is it a law or rule that the Nigerian president must only address the country on certain days like independence day, democracy day etc?

Before u travel to Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, you are required to present a certificate from NDLEA stating you are not on a drug trafficking watchlist.

We don't want to own this truth that many nations around the world have become hostile to any green passport!

Nigeria and South Africa alike don't seem to want to get to the root of the problem in South Africa? People are playing to the gallery right now.

The same way we shy from addressing the roots of our internal problems (BH, herdsmen, rustlers, miners, kidnappers, yahoo, ethic agitations etc).

I think if our countries STOP being extremely selfish and CORRUPT and face the issue of educating and empowering the vast majority of the youths, and indeed everyone, we would have solved the problems by more than half! But our terrible appetite for corruption, get-rich-quick and I-better-pass-my neighbour tendencies would not let us. We claim we have democracy but you cant even come near your rep in your area, soon after election is over!

When leaders think they do not owe the people any explanations for anything, they end up creating lack of trust, and end up with a total dis-connect to reality.

Let me shock you - Thais will treat their own nationals who have lived in Nigeria almost the same way they treated your friend. Same with Europeans and others. They think there is something here that corrupts anyone that comes in contact with it!

We have to learn from that old saying - Charity begins at home. If we have lack of love for our fellow citizens, dont expect neighbours to love you!

Alot of the people who went to destroy shoprite and mtn offices are hypocrites. This also includes online warriors like some of you reading this comment. Yes YOU!!!!

How many of these Nigerian protesters both onsite and online will be willing for DStv to be shut down and forfeit watching Super Sports (EPL, LA LIGA, SERIE A, CHAMPIONS LEAGUE) for at least 3 months so as to register our grievances against the barbaric treatment on our people in SA?

You reading this comment, are you angry with South Africa enough to demand DStv shutdown? undecided
