it is known that $12. 09 billion was paid to the external creditors in the Paris Club and that a debt cancellation of $18 billion was also secured in the process
The questions that I have for the previous administrations are, who took the loan and where was the money spent?

please read this article to see my outrage. I support the notion this payment should have been used to revamp our economy.

@Mamajama

It was good they paid if Not we can nout investigate. Now we can investigate.

you may know that Obj had a great problem with the debt because no one knew where they came from.

We have Saboteurs in Nigerian working for the Paris Club this people are on the pay list of their masters. if Obj had argued with them for long they will have a case.

Now they have no case We have a case ( At least we the citizens can know fight them) We have lawyers that can take this people.

Have you heard of what they did to Namibia?

The Owed a debt of $5million and some company came to buy the loan for 3 million and now they the company are demanding $33 million.

Ah some people will call this Business abi ? i say this is 419 of the greatest order.

MONEY DOUBLERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Impressive. what could the consequences be if we refused to pay this debt? they can have sanctions on us but at

least our country will be fully developed. The presidency should have embark on investigation to find out who took the

loans and what purpose was the loan for. and was it utilized to the full ability?

what would be the consequences if you fail to pay back a loan you get from a bank. you know the bailiffs would be at your door one early morning wink

Saying we shouldnt pay back the loan says a lot about our country people; when people lend you money in good faith you want to run away with the money?
later we probably complain the nigerian banks are not loaning people money to start business, why should they when we dont mind runing away with it?

lakeside4love I've never change on OBJ my question was why is he paying loans that we have no idea who took it ? it's human nature to agree and to disagree on vital issue. as a president it would have been better to set up a panel to investigate how we got the money and what the money were used for. Many developed countries have bilateral economic benefits. what purpose id paying this loan serving?

No one is above mistake and I reserve my comment on Obj for now

well he has to pay his real masters,

Do you know what $18billion will do if well spent??

much worse he has given them $40billion to keep for us!

I was in Nigeria lastweek. the roads are worse than 2004 when I visit.

I counted 23 accidents from lagos to Abuja!

You know why things are bad in Nigeria ? No maintenance, we build and forget to renovate. things are supposed to last forever in naija. that is why we have collapsing building
Re: Who Took The Loans And Where Was It Spent? by otokx(m): 8:22pm On May 18, 2007
@babasin

You should have counted the number of accidents on the Lagos - Benin express road. Some things have not really changed.
